The GF13-049NM Tequila Gundam is a mobile fighter that appears in the TV anime Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
Overview[]
A mobile fighter representing Neo Mexico at the 13th Gundam Fight. It is an amphibious-type specially designed for underwater combat. While its defensive capabilities are relatively poor, the Tequila Gundam can block attacks with the reinforced armor on its shoulders and forearms.
Armament[]
- Vulcan Gun
- Mounted on the sombrero-shaped head parts. The Vulcans provide 180-degree protection.
- Beam Trident
- The main weapon of this machine. Two of them are mounted on the left shoulder armor, and when used, they emit a trident-shaped beam from their tips.
- Cactus Needle
- Used in "Super Class". Needle missiles are fired from the cactus-shaped shoulder armor on the right shoulder.
- Hat Cutter
- Used in "Super Class". The sombrero-shaped head part is ejected while rotating at high speed.
Special Attacks[]
- Tequila Vortex
- The sombrero-like structure atop its head houses a rotating fan, which allows the Tequila Gundam to create a powerful whirlpool and pull enemy mobile fighters into the water.
History[]
Although he descended to Earth as the representative of Neo Mexico, Gundam Fighter Chico escaped with his machine to live a peaceful life with his sister, Gina. Usually, the machine is sunk on the beach of Neo Mexico on Earth, where he has escaped. Later, when Chico is cornered by the national authorities, he is forced to activate it, and despite interference from the Neo Mexican Army, he challenges Domon Kasshu's Shining Gundam to a fight. However, immediately after the fight begins, both of his arms are cut off, rendering him unable to fight, and then his head is destroyed by the Shining Finger, eliminating him from the preliminary round. The head explodes and the machine sinks into the sea. Then, in accordance with Article 2 of the Gundam Fight International Treaty, Chico is treated as killed in battle, but he secretly escapes and the machine with its damaged head is abandoned in the sea.
