The GF13-003NEL John Bull Gundam is a long-range mobile fighter that appears in the TV anime Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
Overview[]
A mobile fighter representing Neo England in the 13th Gundam Fight. It is the successor to the Britain Gundam, which won the 9th, 10th, and 11th tournaments. It is a shooting type machine to match the excellent shooting skills of Gentle Chapman, and is equipped with a long beam rifle as its main weapon. The appearance of the machine is reminiscent of the military uniform of the English guards, and the head is equipped with electronic equipment to support the ailing Chapman. Its greatest weapon is Chapman's unparalleled sniping skills, but he is also skilled in boxing and can fight in close combat. However, because of Chapman's illness, he was not able to show his true potential as he once did.

History[]
Neo England's John Bull Gundam was one of the mobile fighters that participated in the 13th Gundam Fight, but despite his skills and previous victories, Chapman's body had reached its limit, to the point where he had to rely on psychiatric drugs to keep him in focus. His wife Manon Chapman decided to secretly help him during his matches, by using sensor scrambling fog machines and multiple remote-controlled Casshing MS to distract and deplete his opponent while he hunted them down, in violation of the International Convention on Gundam Fighting, which calls for matches to be one-on-one.
George de Sand was nearly defeated in such a manner, but luckily Chapman missed the head of Gundam Rose, when the effect of his drugs began to wear off, forcing to him retreat shortly after. George subsequently warned Domon Kasshu of the impending danger. During his match with Chapman, Domon's Shining Gundam nearly fell victim to the same tactics, but Domon was assisted by George and when the effects of Chapman's drugs wear off again, he urges Domon to deliver the final blow, and is defeated when the John Bull Gundam's head is destroyed by a Shining Finger.
Normally this would have meant he would no longer be eligible to compete in the finals, but after Chapman was resurrected from the dead using DG cells and joined the Devil Gundam Legion, Wong Yunfat's scheme allowed him to take part in the finals. By this time, he had become a mindless minion of the Devil Gundam, and the John Bull Gundam was used as merely a disguise for the Grand Gundam, which became a menace to the new Shuffle Alliance.

Notes & Trivia[]
- The John Bull Gundam's name references the fictional English character "John Bull", the English analogue to America's fictional "Uncle Sam" character. The English dub may have changed the Gundam's name to "Royal Gundam" to avoid political themes.
