The GAT-X207SR Nero Blitz is a stealth reinforcement mobile suit, it is featured in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Δ ASTRAY. The unit is piloted by Dana Snip.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
Unlike the original Blitz Gundam, the GAT-X207SR Nero Blitz ("SR" stands for "Stealth Reinforcement") is primarily armed with melee weapons for the main reason of increasing the unit's stealth abilities. The Nero Blitz mounts large grappling arms on its backpack which are powerful enough to damage suits equipped with Phase Shift armor. The arms also can utilize Mirage Colloid to capture and redirect incoming beams, similar to GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam's Geschmeidig Panzer. Other armaments including lancer darts and a dummy launcher. The Nero Blitz featured an improved communications antenna with greater detection and sensor performance under the influence of N-Jammer interference. After the unit was received from Aktaeon Industries, it was fitted with a nuclear powerplant by Phantom Pain engineers in violation of the Junius Treaty.
Armaments
- Variable Arm Unit
- The Nero Blitz possesses two grappling arms that are normally folded on its back. When unfolded they become two grappling arms that are capable of capturing and reflect a shot from a beam weapon because of the Geschmeidig Panzer. They can redirect beam weapons fire in various angles by altering the internal refractive index, though this damages the Grappling Arm's components, thus limiting the number of beam reflections. The arms are also capable of grabbing and crushing enemy mobile weapons.
- 6-Barrel Launcher & Claw
- On the Nero Blitz's right arm the armor is capable of opening up revealing six barrels that are able to fire dummies.
- Lancer Dart Launcher
- On the Nero Blitz's left arm the armor has three openings that are capable of firing lancer darts.
System Features
- The Nero Blitz uses mirage colloid particles on its grappling arms to create the Geschmeidig Panzer deflection armor. The arms can capture and redirect incoming beam shots.
History
Fielded in Cosmic Era 74, the Nero Blitz was dispatched by the Earth Alliance and piloted by Dana Snip, whose loyalty however belongs to the Phantom Pain special forces.
Dispatched against the Martian MMF-JG73L Turn Δ, the Nero Blitz and the GAT-X303AA Rosso Aegis were defeating their opponent, until repeated provocation by Turn-Delta pilot Ergnes Brahe caused Rosso Aegis pilot Emilio Broderick to go berserk. After the Nero Blitz was destroyed in battle, its wreckage was retrieved by the Junk Guild and examined.

- Like its sister units the Strike Noir, the Blu Duel, the Verde Buster and the Rosso Aegis, the unit bears a color-themed name, "nero" means "black" in Italian and a reference to its color scheme.
