The GAT-X105B/EG Build Strike Exceed Galaxy (aka Exceed Galaxy) is a Gunpla introduced in the Gundam Build Metaverse. It is built and piloted by Sei Iori.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

A new Build Strike based on the Entry Grade 1/144 GAT-X105 Strike Gundam.[1][2] By taking another look at the Entry Grade Gunpla, one made for builders regardless of stripes, Sei tried to discover what kind of novel potential the Build Strike housed.[2] The completed Build Strike Exceed Galaxy adopted a new energy super-light circulation mechanism called the "EG (Energy Glitter-circulation) System" based on the RG System, which is capable of multidimensional boost-ups to suit the battle situation.[1][2] Sei also added hardpoints to various parts of the Build Strike Exceed Galaxy and its equipment, allowing for a wide variety of weapon loadouts so that it would fulfill his dream of a Gunpla that had no final form, but rather unlimited potential.[2] The Gunpla's name, "Exceed Galaxy", also symbolizes this desire.[2]

Armaments[]

  • Vulcan Gun
A small caliber gun that fires physical projectiles, four are mounted in the Exceed Galaxy's head, two on each side.[3] They have low attack power, but a high rate of fire, and can be used for various purposes, such as intercepting incoming missiles and enemy units, destroying enemy's sensors, etc.
  • Beam Rifle
The Exceed Galaxy's custom firearm.[2] Thanks to its low energy cost, a merit of its Entry Grade status, the Beam Rifle can maintain output in sustained periods in battle.[2] The rifle can be separated into its top and bottom parts to use as a melee-focused barrel club and a small-size beam gun.[2] The barrel club can utilize the EG system to focus energy, turning it into the superior beam barrel blade.[2] This beam blade can also be deployed in the Beam Rifle form.[2][3]
  • Ex Shield
The Exceed Galaxy's custom half-sized shield.[2] When using the EG system, it can produce a beam blade, turning it into the beam shield blade.[2][3] This beam blade is also known as "Build Blade".[3] The Exceed Galaxy cannot utilize its beam barrel blade simultaneously with the beam shield blade.[2] Besides being mounted on the forearm, the Ex Shield can also be mounted on the lower back of the Galaxy Fighter on Exceed Galaxy's back.[2][3]
  • Star Beam Cannon
A pair of beam cannons installed on the UB-01 Universe Booster, a support machine for the GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam.[3][4] They can detach from the Universe Booster, and attach to the sides of the Ex Shield to serve as an optional weapon for the Exceed Galaxy.[3]

Special Equipment & Features[]

  • EG System
The "EG (Energy Glitter-circulation) System" is based on the RG System[2], which was introduced in the Star Build Strike Gundam. The EG system allows the Gunpla to concentrate energy in various body locations, thereby boosting its power in offense, defense, or mobility, all but obliterating any demerits that an Entry Grade kit-typically featuring lower specifications than other grades-engenders in combat.[2]
  • Galaxy Fighter
A support unit that can function as the Exceed Galaxy's backpack.[2] Thanks to the hardpoints on the Exceed Galaxy's body, the Galaxy Fighter can be attached to either forearm or either leg, drastically improving the Gunpla's melee combat capabilities.[2] The Galaxy Fighter also features several hardpoints on its body, giving it impressive combat adaptability.[2]
  • Exceed Joint
An optional part developed to deal with powerful enemies the likes of which the Exceed Galaxy has yet to face, it attaches to the back to further enhance the Gunpla's adaptability.[2] The Exceed Joint allows for equipment from all different kinds of Gunpla to be docked to the Exceed Galaxy.[2]
  • Galaxy Booster
An optional equipment for Exceed Galaxy, it is the same support unit as used by the GAT-X105B/GC Build Strike Galaxy Cosmos.[3][5] It also functions as a backpack and can dock to the Galaxy Fighter on Exceed Galaxy's back.[3][5] The Galaxy Booster's wings function as particle controlling antennas, and by spreading them in all directions, it is possible to control Plavsky particles within a wide range accurately.[5]
