Fonse Kagatie (フォンセ・カガチ Fonse Kagachi?) is a fictional character and the main antagonist from the Mobile Suit Victory Gundam anime series.
Background[]
He is the leader of the Gachi Party and the Prime Minister of the Zanscare Empire. He is a "man who returned from Jupiter" who once served in the Jupiter Transport Fleet, which is pursuing the idea of a Jupiter United Republic.
He believes that the excessive proliferation of humanity has overstepped the laws of nature, and so he seeks to revive only the peaceful human race, while allowing those who only know war to self-destruct. To this end, he motivates the people with the "carrot and stick" approach of Mariaism and the guillotine, and plots to take over the Earth through a plan to regress humanity using the Angel Halo.
