The First Nova Recapture Operation is a conflict of the First Alliance-PLANT War, featured in the video game Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow.
Prelude[]
Following the Battle of Nova, where ZAFT had successfully obtained control of the Republic of East Asia's space resource asteroid Nova, the decision was made to move the asteroid closer to the PLANT Colonies for use as a military base. However, the Earth Alliance, seeking to rectify their defeat, launched an operation to reclaim Nova during ZAFT's transport of the asteroid.
The Battle[]
The Earth Alliance deployed a space fleet to engage the defending ZAFT ships. During the battle, ZAFT pilot Miguel Aiman destroyed several EA vessels in his custom ZGMF-1017 GINN and briefly fought against EA ace pilot Mu La Flaga and his TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero. In the end, the ZAFT forces were able to successfully repel the EA fleet, forcing them to retreat.[1]
Aftermath[]
After the battle, Nova successfully arrived and was renamed Boaz, becoming one of two major bases charged with defending the PLANT Colonies.
In January of C.E. 71, the Earth Alliance launched the Second Nova Recapture Operation, and employed the services of the mercenary group Serpent Tail to add mobile suits to their attack force. However, the battle saw the EA fleet pushed back and forced to retreat.[2]
