Elsa doesn't carry any doubts when fighting as she has a strong belief that "she was born to fight".

A Combat Coordinator, she is skilled in physical and mobile suit combat. Additionally, her genes were manipulated to give her extraordinary sensory capabilities. As a result, she developed the strange quirk of going into mobile suit combat naked. The closer she gets to full nudity, the better she feels she can process data from her mobile suit. Even her creator, Dante Gordigiani, thinks this is very bizarre behavior, and frequently recommends that she suit up before going into combat. Elsa attributes her behavior to poor planning on Dante's part.
