The Gundam Hajiroboshi (ガンダム端白星[1]?) is the main mobile suit of the Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS Urdr-Hunt mobile game. It is piloted by Wistario Afam.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

A Gundam Frame mobile suit that was stored for many years in the administration sector of the Radonitsa Colony floating above Venus.[1][2][3] It is unclear when and why the Hajiroboshi was brought into the remote colony, and with the person who discovered it long gone, no one knows why it has been preserved to this day.[2][3] Additionally, the name "Hajiroboshi", which means Venus in an old language, is not found in the list of the 72 Gundam Frame mobile suits developed during the Calamity War.[2] This name also does not follow the usual naming conventions.[2] There is evidence that this mobile suit underwent major refurbishments, with most of its armaments other than its Gundam Frame made with modern technology.[2][3]

The Hajiroboshi has excellent maneuverability, and the high output produced by its dual Ahab Reactors are its greatest weapons.[2] However, like the other Gundam Frame mobile suits, Hajiroboshi normally operates at a drastically reduced output due to a specially programmed limiter, but this limiter would automatically turn off upon encountering a Mobile Armor.[4][5] While this allowed the Hajiroboshi to display its power, it also made the mobile suit difficult to control in the absence of the Alaya-Vijnana System.[4][5] Uniquely, another operating system would also activate, revealing the sigil of Marchosias along with the text "Gundam Frame Type Marchosias ASW-G-35" on its interface.[4][5]

The Hajiroboshi was initially equipped with various lightweight armaments made with consideration for the mobile suit's mobility and were designed to be easy to control for its pilot, Wistario Afam.[2] After this 1st Form was heavily damaged in combat with a Mobile Armor, Hajiroboshi was repaired and re-equipped at the Radonitsa Colony, becoming the 2nd Form.[5][6][7] In preparation for fiercer battles during the Urdr Hunt, the 2nd Form has new armaments to counter dangerous rivals, as well as improved mobility and agility thanks to a new backpack with built-in wire anchors and lighter shoulder armor.[6][7] The basic tactic of the 2nd Form is to strike a powerful blow using the new Cross Mace, while the improved mobility due to the reduced weight of its upper body is used to taut the enemy.[7]

Armaments[]

  • Smart Mace
A well-balanced close combat weapon used by Hajiroboshi's 1st Form.[2][3] The Smart Mace is designed to minimize its effect on the mobile suit's movement even when swung around at full power.[2][3] This highly versatile weapon can be wielded by any mobile suit and is easy to handle even for inexperienced pilots.[3] When not in use, it can be stored on a rack attached to the right side of the waist.[2]
  • Crab Shield
Mounted on the left forearm of Hajiroboshi's 1st Form, it is a relatively small shield that incorporates both offensive and defensive capabilities.[2][3] The Crab Shield has claws that unfold for capturing the enemy, and a needle can be shot out of the shield to penetrate and drill through the captured mobile suit's armor and frame.[2][3][8]
  • 110mm Short Range Rifle
An easy to wield small rifle with a short barrel, it is used by Hajiroboshi's 1st Form.[2][3] Mainly for threatening and intercepting enemies, the 110mm Short Range Rifle is used in combination with other armaments.[2][3] When not in use, it can be stored on a rack attached to the left side of the waist.[2]
  • Cross Mace
The Cross Mace is a large, cross-shaped, melee weapon used by Hajiroboshi's 2nd Form, and its length exceeds the total height of the mobile suit.[5][7] It has three handles at the bottom, two at the sides and one at the lower end, and can be wielded using both hands.[7] The handles have an octagonal structure for easy gripping, and are designed to transmit the mobile suit's power without any loss of force.[7]
  • Smart Claw Shield
A lightweight shield mounted on the left forearm of Hajiroboshi's 2nd Form.[4][7] The Smart Claw Shield has an elongated shape that does not hinder the mobility and agility of the mobile suit.[7] A pair of short claws are mounted on the shield's tip, and they can be used for attacks.[7]
  • Sword Long Mace[6]
A weapon used by Hajiroboshi's 2nd Form.

Special Equipment & Features[]

  • Wire Anchor
A pair of wired anchors can be launched from the backpack of the Hajiroboshi's 2nd Form to limit the evasive maneuvers of the enemy unit.[5][7]

History[]

It is believed that the Hajiroboshi was discovered in the Radonitsa Colony by Demnar Kitako Jr.‎'s late grandfather.[2][3] Demnar inherited the role of managing the mobile suit and have been secretly maintaining it.[1][2][3] When the Radonitsa Colony was attacked by mobile suits of unknown affiliation, Wistario Afam boarded the Hajiroboshi and awakened it from a long slumber.[1][2]

  • An image similar to the sigil of the 35th demon in the Ars Goetia, Marchosias, can be seen on the console upon activation, hinting at its origins.
