The Gundam Freedom Knight (ガンダムフリーダムナイト?) is a customized Gunpla appearing in Hobby Hobby Imaging Divers. Based on the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, it is built by Captain Zeon.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A custom Gunpla that used the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam as its base, its head, backpack and handheld weapons are replaced with replica of ZGMF-X19AK Gundam Justice Knight's. The built-in weapons on the Strike Freedom's body are retained. Captain Zeon built this Gunpla using a magic knight as its motif.
Armaments[]
- KT-E03R Raitei Shot Lancer
- A replica of the Justice Knight's main weapon, which uses the Shot Lancer from Mobile Suit Gundam F91 as its base and redesigned to match the aesthetic of the Cosmic Era's mobile suits. It has built-in Beam Guns to deal with medium and long-range opponents. The lance section can be fired for a deadly blow.
- CS-1202 Circle Shield
- A replica of the Justice Knight's defensive armament. In addition to excellent defense capabilities, it can also be used to directly shield-bash enemies.
- MA-M02G "Super Lacerta" Beam Saber
- A pair of close combat beam weapons stored on the "Xiphias 3" Railguns. They are the same as the ones used by the Strike Freedom. The two beam sabers can be combined into a twin-edged beam saber, and this form is known as 'Ambidextrous Halberd'.
- MGX-2235 "Calidus" Multi-Phase Beam Cannon
- Mounted on the abdomen, it is the same powerful ranged beam weapon as found on the Strike Freedom and its muzzle is protected by PS armor.
- MMI-M15E "Xiphias 3" Railgun
- The two "Xiphias 3" railguns mounted on the suit's waist are the same as the ones used by the Strike Freedom.
- MX2200 Beam Shield
- Generated from the forearms' beam shield generators, the pair of beam shields can effectively block most beam and physical attacks.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- Knight Wing
- Mounted on the Gunpla's back, it is a replica of Justice Knight's back unit that is specially designed for flying. It can combine with the Shot Lancer and Circle Shield to be used as a support machine. Considering the Gunpla's magic knight motif, Captain Zeon notes that the support machine resembles a familiar.
History[]
After discovering the Gundam Justice Knight, Captain Zeon is impressed by how its base unit, the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam which is known for its abundance of weapons, has its weapons reduced to its minimum to fit the knight motif. Aware that Kazami Torimachi, builder of the Justice Knight, is one of his most ardent followers, Captain Zeon modifies a Strike Freedom Gundam Gunpla into the Gundam Freedom Knight as its unauthorized partner machine.
