Fred the Knife is a knife-fighting instructor at the ZAFT academy. He participates in duels with his students only when they're the best-of-the-best, not always the top of the class.
Athrun Zala is the only character noted to have beaten him one-on-one. In Athrun's class where he came first, Yzak Jule came second, followed by Nicol Amalfi.
