Cuardon (クアドルン, Kuadorun^?) is a character in the anime Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE.

Personality & Character

A sacred beast that lives in the floating temple Milaag Mountain on the planet Eldora. On the surface, Cuadorn acts sternly, but in reality, he is deeply compassionate. For example, he is unable to strongly admonish his former comrade Alus, and he once tried to refuse to help BUILD DiVERS in order not to involve them in the same way as Masaki Shido. However, because of his sense of responsibility, he also tries to take on everything.

Skills & Abilities

Cuadorn is capable of flight and combat in and outside of the atmosphere. He can carry a mobile suit on his back. He has several attacks including shooting a lighting bolt at the clouds to induce numerous lighting bolts to rain down on his enemies, releasing a shockwave blast from his mouth, emitting lighting bolts from his body and firing a powerful beam that was strong enough to destroy the Fake ν Gundam's beam barrier.

History

Cuadorn's origins are unknown, but he has lived for a long time. Long ago, he fought together with Alus and the indigenous people of the Eldora called the "Ancients" to protect the planet from outer space invaders. Even after the war ended and the Ancients left the planet, he continued to watch over Eldora and was revered as a guardian by the newly born mountain people. Eventually, Alus reawakened and mistook the mountain people as invaders and began to attack them. Cuadorn tried to stop him, but his attempts to persuade him fail and he was repulsed. Cuadorn then traced the footsteps of the Ancients to find a way to counter Alus, and somehow ended up in GBN, where Masaki answered his call for help.

Cuadorn, Masaki, and the resistance formed by the mountain people fought against the One-Eyes commandeered by Alus, but they were defeated when Alus used GBN information to produce Mobile Suits and strengthened his forces. Masaki was then captured by Alus and brainwashed. Cuadorn fought against the brainwashed Masaki, and his left wing was injured in the battle, making him unable to fight further. Sometime later, the BUILD DiVERS made contact with him, and even repaired his wings using Gunpla parts that had materialized from the Eldrium Mirror Sand (originally unused parts from Parviz's failed attempt to modify his Gunpla), allowing him to return to the front lines and assist in freeing Masaki from Alus' control.

Relationships

• Alus

Cuadorn and Alus used to fight side by side, protecting the planet of Eldora from foreign threats. After awakening from a deep sleep, Alus began to attack Eldora's new inhabitants as he viewed them as a threat, and becomes an enemy of Cuadorn.

• Muran

The two of them know each other and are on good terms with one another.

• Masaki Shido

Needing help in the fight against Alus, Cuadorn summoned Masaki to Eldora. They fought together in many battles, before Masaki was captured by Alus.

Notes & Trivia

• Although Cuadorn appears shortly at the end of the episode "Encounters, and Then...", he does not make his debut appearance until two episodes later in "To the Heavenly Land".
