The Capital Territory (キャピタル・テリトリィ Kyapitaru Teritoryi?) is a nation that appears in the TV anime Gundam Reconguista in G.
Overview[]
A city-state that has a land area that extends from the Caribbean Sea to the Amazon River basin in the northern part of the equatorial Eulraidan (South America) continent.[1] It is prosperous due to the presence of the Capital Tower. The current head of state is Birgiz Shiba.
Locations[]
Capital Tower[]
An orbital elevator located in the center of the Capital Territory. It has been extensively renovated based on the elevator constructed in the Universal Century. It is the only facility in the world that carries photon batteries brought from space and is considered sacred. Its total length is 80,000 km. There are 144 space stations (nuts) that make up the tower. The lower most nut, the "under nut" is also part of it but it is not counted in the 144 as it was originally an artificial satellite built to clear space debris from the Universal Century era. Even in low orbit, the cables and nuts move in sync with the Earth's rotation because the Minovsky Magnet-ray Field (MMF) effect produced between the cables and nuts, powered by the Airglow Belt in the Earth's upper atmosphere.[2]
Capital Guard Academy[]
This is where cadets are trained to become members of the Capital Guard.
Hangar 25[]
This is next to the Academy's port. The Capital Army hid the YG-111 Gundam G-Self in this civilian hangar to study it.[3]
St. Flower Academy[]
St. Flower Academy is a girls' school that has close ties with the Capital Guard Academy.
Prisoner's Tower[]
This stone building was where Aida Rayhunton was kept prisoner. The maze-like interior of the tower is made of wood with some staircases leading to nowhere, possibly intended to make break out attempts harder, although Bellri Zenam managed to figure out what to do eventually.[3]
Sankt Porto[]
The top facility of the Capital Tower, the loading and unloading port for photon batteries brought from Towasanga, and the largest sanctuary of the SU-Cordism religion.
Trivia[]
- It is quite implied that the Capital Territory is Adeska from Turn A, both are South American location with the rest of ancient orbital elevator. The others references from Turn A like Ameria in the series get more force to this theory.
