Fastest Formula

Fastest Formula (formally known as 2nd Experimental Battlegroup) is the Earth Federation Forces' special forces unit in during the UC 0110s era, that appeared in manga Mobile Suit Gundam F90 Fastest Formula.

Overview[]

The Fastest Formula was established on U.C 0115 and was tasked as mop-up unit against Zeon Remnants, Pirates, and any hostile organization that threathened the Earth Federation.[1] As its namesake, this unit act as rapid response force against those organization, and usually completed their mission with relatively "fast" time completion. Similiar with Londo Bell primarily functioned in Outer Space and Space Colonies, and only being deployed to Earth under special circumstances. Fastest Formula's personnel are handpicked by Hauzeri Ronah based on their skills and capabilities.[2] While this unit primarily served as data collection unit for Strategic Naval Research Institute and also as tool to served Hauzeri's political agenda. Initially the unit mothership was an early version of Space Ark-class the Fairlady, but after it was damaged it was replaced by a Ra Cailum-class the Ajax.

History[]

Battle at Insel Colony[]

U.C 0115 the Fastest Formula corps (FF) was deployed the F90NG Gundam F90 NG Type, F89 Gundam F89 and F70 Gundam F70 to quell Zeon Remnants forces, the Golden Eagle cell at Space Colony Insel. During the Battle they manage to destroy the Zeon Remnant forces, but suffer some damage after the sudden appearance of NZ-000 Queen Mansa replica unit.[3]

Asteroid Belt Incident[]

Sometimes after the Battle of Insel, the Fastest Formula deployed F90O Gundam F90 Officer Type for testing in an asteroid belt and engaged the EGUM terrorist forces in the area. During the battle they were ambushed by the MSA-0120 Draig, and lost both the F70 Cannon Gundam and RGM-109 Heavygun.[4][5]

Side 2 Amelia Incident[]

After the loss against the pirates, the Fastest Formula arrived at Side 2 Colony Amelia to evade enemy pursuit.[5] But during their stay, they were alerted by Dir Rider of impending terrorist attack, and manage to escape the colony to minimize combat and ambushed.[6] During their escape from Amelia, they were ambushed Zeon Remnants mobile suit let by a heavily modified AMA-01X Jamru Fin piloted by Kitche Kitchener, their mothership the Space Ark-class Fairlady suffered a severe damage against enemy forces, but manage to repel the attack with the deployment of F90V Gundam F90 VSBR Type alongside RGM-87C2 Br-GM and AMS-119 Lehr Doga. Due to the damage they sustained, they were towed by the Ra Cailum-class Ajax to Luna II.[7]

Simulation Battle at Luna II[]

The damage caused by Zeon Remnants ambush on Side 2 Amelia, the depleted Fastest Formula corps was resupplied with a new mothership the Ajax, several Mobile Suits, and new skilled pilots.[7] With the new fighting force they were tasked to participate against Luna II's 4th Aggressor unit with their RGM-111Y Proto Hardygun. During the simulation battle they manage to outperform the Aggressor Corps' Proto Hardygun, and manage to showcased the capabilities of F90 Gundam F90 Unit 2 in its default configuration.[8]

Frontier 1 Terrorist Attack[]

Departing Luna II, the FF Corps were heading to Frontier 1 Space Colony but was suddenly tasked to aid local Earth Federation garrison against Zeon Remnants forces that attacked the colony.[9] During the attack they manage to repel the attack on the colony, and the appearance of Gundam F90 Unit 3 also contributed to their victory of repelling the enemy forces fron the Space Colony, and the Gundam F90 Unit 3 subsequently incorporated into the FF Corps.

Colony 107 Terrorist Attack[]

Sometimes after the event of Frontier 1 attack, the Fastest Formula were tasked to supress former AEUG terrorist attack at Side 1 Colony 107 Bharat, and manage to quell enemy MS attack with relative ease and fast.[10]

Trimurti Incident[]

Shortly after Colony 107 terrorist attack, the FF Corps were tasked to defend the Trimurti Satellite Cannon that was under attack by both EGUM and Zeon Remnants' Legacy Fleet led by both Trowa Trovaldyo and Rhein Dragun respectively.[11][12] The Fastest Formula then engaged the EGUM fleet with F90NV Gundam F90 NV Type spearheading the attack, but was heavily outnumbered by the EGUM forces. Despite being outnumbered, the amount of high performance mobile suit and skilled pilots at their disposal, manage to shift the tide battle for the, but in the process lost several RGZ-95 ReZELs and the Gundam F90 NV Type damaged after it got ambushed from behind.[13] After eliminating the EGUM fleet the FF Corps were advancing to aid the Trimurti's local garrison and engaged the Legacy Fleet.[14] While advancing to Trimurti, the FF Corps forced to split their MS corps to engage both the Draig and the Legacy Fleet.[15] Racing against time, the sudden appearance OMA-05-2RFN RF Gromlin II that hijacked the satelite cannon caused the FF corps to advance to Trimurti, but the overwhelming number of Legacy Fleet forces halted the FF Corps advance significantly. but the appearance of F90FF Gundam F90 FF type manage to turn the tide of the battle, by destroying the Draig and heavily damaged the Gromlin II.[14] Unfortunately the FF Corps would be soon disbanded after the lost of their main unit such as Gundam F90PV Type, Gundam F90 FF Type, and Gundam F89 (Final Equipment Type) during the battle, making this unit history reduced to a mere rumours, except for those who once work with the said unit.[16]
