The Cosmograsper is a space support fighter in the Cosmic Era timeline.

Combat Abilities

Like its Earthbound counterpart, the FX-550 Skygrasper, the Cosmograsper is well armed for combat. Its most powerful weapon is a single beam cannon, which is mounted on the same position as the one on the Skygrasper. Additional two 76mm machineguns and four 20mm machineguns are mounted on the wings of the fighter. Lastly, while the Skygrasper features missile bays, the Cosmograsper instead mounts two gatling guns in their place.

System Features

As with the Skygrasper, the Cosmograsper is able to mount Striker Packs for additional weaponry and features. While most of the Striker Packs used by the Cosmograsper are the same as the one used on the Skygrasper, the space fighter uses an an improved model of the Aile Striker packs, which lacks beam sabers to increase its endurance.

Besides these features, the Cosmograsper also uses rocket thrusters instead of the jet engines of the Skygrasper.

History

In CE 71, the Earth Alliance successfully built five mobile suits as part of their G Project. One such unit was the GAT-X105 Strike, which had the ability to mount Striker Packs to adapt to different combat situations. Additionally, the EA also developed the Skygrasper, an atmospheric support fighter for the Strike, which also had the ability to mount these packs. Afterwards, the space-use Cosmograsper variant is created for use in support of the mass-produced GAT-01A1 105 Dagger.

So far, no informations about the Cosmograsper and its missions are known.
