The F71B type S.D. G-Cannon Magna Super Destroid is a variant of F71B G-Cannon Magna. It was featured on the Mobile Suit Gundam Silhouette Formula Official Handbook included in the Bandai 1/100 scale RX-99 Neo Gundam model kit and designed by Kunio Okawara.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A modified version of G-Cannon Magna that incorporated various SNRI Formula Project equipments such as F90D Gundam F90 Destroid Type's Mega Gatling Gun alongside 5-tube Rocket Rack, and F71 G-Cannon Powered Weapon Type parts. Because of such modifications the G-Cannon Magna Super Destroid is a heavily armed mobile suit without affecting much if it mobility.[1]
Armaments[]
- Beam Cannon
- A beam cannon designed as cheaper versions of the VSBRs, and they still retain high performance. Its mounted on left side of the backpack.
- Twin Beam Cannon
- A super long-range beam cannon equipped on the right side of the backpack..
- 5-tube Rocket Pack
- Mounted on G-Cannon Magna Super Destroid's right side skirt.
- Gun Unit
- Also known as double grenade launcher, it is equipped on the right arm.
- Double Electromagnetic Railgun
- Equipped on the left arm, it is a double barreled railgun that fires high-speed, armor-piercing shells
- Mega Gatling Gun
- A ballistic weaponry, the firearm is belt-fed and mounted on left side of torso with ammo drum and weapon mount assembly attached to the rear waist weapon mount.
- Sniper Beam Rifle
- Long range version of of RGM-109 Heavygun beam rifle that had longer range and higher output.[1] It features a full barrel structure for barrel protection and to maintain accuracy. As the weapon is developed during a time where anti-MS combat is not the main focus and usage of beam rifles are actively avoided to protect the space colonies, it is installed with a sub-sensor as well as a limiter to avoid excessive power.
History[]
In U.C 0121 the G-Cannon Magna Super Destroid is deployed during by Earth Federation Forces' 301st MS Company during an attack on Oldsmobile remnant base in the shoal zone near Side 4.[1]
