Fólkvangr was a Vanadis Institute/Ochs Earth Corporation facility built inside an asteroid run by Cardo Nabo for the purposes of researching the application of GUND Format technology in Mobile Suits. Personnel appeared to live on site, and Elnora and Nadim Samaya raised their daughter Ericht there. On Ericht's fourth birthday, it was attacked by Cathedra and most personnel were killed, with Ericht and her mother being the only known survivors [3].
"Fólkvangr" refers to a meadow or field ruled over by the goddess Freyja where half of those that die in combat go upon death, whilst the other half go to the god Odin in Valhalla.
