Evans Silvester (エバンス・ジルベスター Ebansu Jirubesutā?) is a character who appears the manga Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Dust, better known and feared by his assumed identity as the Beheading King (首切り王ヘッド・ハーベスター?). He also appears in Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam Love & Piece.

Personality & Character[]

A despotic warlord who rules the Land of Hymns from Luna II. He is an advocate of the annihilation of all human life. Cold and calculating, he does not concern himself with people's day-to-day struggles. He does not care if people have to kill or steal to get by, as everyone will be dead when his ultimate goal is achieved anyway. He pilots the Baroque sitting only in darkness, as the intimidating Mobile Suit has no head or external sensors attached. He claims to be "awakened," but has merely subjected him mind to forcible enhancements, which made his humanity slip further away, to the point where the only thing that makes him feel "human" is experiencing the moment where other people die or become as twisted as he is. Assuming the moniker of the Beheading King, he maintains a large collection of decapitated heads which he displays in transparent cubes, and so spacenoids fear him as the Head Harvester.

His younger brother, Arnold Silvester, is the leader of the Cyclops, one of the few remaining organized military powers in the "Warring Space States" period.

History[]

Evans Silvester was formerly an Earth Federation Forces soldier; he was good-natured, but serious about his duty. In UC 0157 he was assigned to be a bodyguard for the philanthropist Uncle King during his stay in Side 7. When violent riots broke out over rumors that funds were being steered away from austerity programs to focus on returning the colony laser Gryps 2 to working order, Evans tried to talk the rioters down to defend Uncle King from being killed, but his words failed to sway them, and the rioters were massacred by Jamesguns. This traumatized Evans, and when he discovered the truth from Uncle King, that the rumor was true and King himself was being paid to rebuild Gryps 2, Evans killed King himself and cut off his head. Keeping the head in a box, this began his transformation into the much-feared Beheading King.

He was able to conquer Luna II from the corrupt and feeble Federation, and spent a decade continuing to mine resources from the asteroid to buildup his forces, along with some collusion from the anti-Earth faction who had returned to power over the Jupiter Republic. At some point he was badly burned, and took to wearing a hood over his face. In 0169, he announced that he would drop the colony Neo Bunch 1 onto Earth after 100 days.

He was killed by Ash King's Anchor V4 in a decisive battle at Side 1 against a combined fleet lead by the Cyclops and other allies, while the DUST Plan was enacted to foil the intent of the colony drop.
