The Engage Gundam INCOM Equipment (エンゲージガンダム インコム装備 Engēji Gandamu Inkomu Sōbi?) is a mobile suit first introduced in the smartphone game Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. ENGAGE.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

A "what if" unit of the Engage Gundam retrofit plan, enhanced with the concept of equipping Quasi-Psycommu weaponry had the Engage Gundam actually been built and operated. It is designed to be used by Newtypes and enhanced humans. As an improvement over the Engage Zero INCOM Type, which could not sufficiently use its manipulators since it has wired mega particle cannons on both arms, the mega particle cannons were moved to the Core Fighter's sides. When relocated, the mega particle cannon was improved to a wireless system operated by Psycommu and, in addition to remotely shooting and attacking the enemy, they can also be operated as a mega particle cannon while attached to the core fighter. The beam sabers were enlarged but are mainly used as a beam cannon. They can home in on the enemy and also attack automatically, assisting the Engage Gundam. The beam cannon, when used as a beam saber, has a high output due to its large size, but this also makes it difficult to wield.

Armaments[]

  • 60mm Vulcan Gun
  • Beam Saber
  • Beam Cannon/Beam Saber
  • INCOM
  • Wireless Mega Particle Cannon
  • Beam Rifle

Special Equipment & Features[]

The Engage Gundam features a core block system that allows the cockpit and main engines to eject in the form of a fighter plane, preserving the pilot's life and vital combat data.
The Quasi-psycommu system was developed to extend the capabilities of remote weapon control to non-Newtypes. This system can actively scan the pilot's brainwaves, no matter how weak they are, and then let the computer translate the thoughts into commands to be issued to remote weapons. Using the Quasi-psycommu even non-Newtypes can control simple wire-guided remote weapons, such as INCOMs.

History[]

As the RX-78GP00 Gundam "Blossom" was selected as the winner of the trials for Gundam Development Project, the RX-78GPZ01 Engage Gundam was never constructed and it, and its variants like the Engage Gundam INCOM Equipment, only existed on paper.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • Although concept art shows it with two beam sabers at the back of the shoulders, they are missing from the Engage Gundam INCOM Equipment's in-game 3D model in U.C. ENGAGE, though the points at which they would attach appear to be there.
