An Elecar (エレカ Ereka?) is a type of vehicle that appears in the Universal Century.
Overview[]
Electric vehicles called "Elecar" (short for "electric car") are the main means of transportation in space colonies around 0079. In enclosed spaces such as colonies and lunar cities, internal combustion engines that emit exhaust gases cannot be used, so electric vehicles have become more common. The lack of an internal combustion engine also means that oxygen is not needed for combustion, which is why they are also used in space (on the moon, asteroid surfaces, etc.).

Seen inside the Side 2 colony being attacked by the MS-05B Zaku I [6].
Truck Ele-car[]
Used on the Shangri-La colony, Side 1 [7].
Rental[]
AE Credit provided its members with a designated rental counter at over 1000 on the Moon and Von Braun spaceports. All a member needed to do was show their driver's license, a form of payment, sign and they would be on their way [8].
