The Don Escargot was an anti-submarine aircraft used by the Earth Federation Forces. Stationed mainly on naval bases or Himalaya-class aircraft carriers, the Don Escargot was used to combat the Principality of Zeon's Jukon-class submarines. For this purpose it carried numerous torpedoes and depth charges, and had excellent long-range enemy searching capabilities. For defense, it was equipped with four anti-air machine guns for defense. It is also capable of deploying sonar buoys to help track down underwater units.
