Technology & Combat Characteristics
A super-large aircraft carrier that can also supply and maintain MS and MA. The bridge is present in the form of protruding to the front by a long arm. As a combat ship, mobility is low, it was basically operated as a movable fortress. While having anti-ship firepower comparable to a fortress, anti-aircraft firepower was at a level of entrusting to the onboard MS, their weapons and ammunition loads.

At least two of these vessels were built. The second ship, Dolowa, was originally stationed at the moon under Kycilia Zabi, but she gifted it to Dozle Zabi in exchange for his approval in the establishment of a submarine fleet at California Base. After the loss of Solomon, it carried the surviving Zeon forces toward A Baoa Qu
Both ships saw action during the Battle of A Baoa Qu, with the Dolos stationed in the N field and the Dolowa, which served as the ship of Zeon ace Anavel Gato, stationed in the S field. Due to their importance, both ships were the targets of concentrated attacks by the Earth Federation Forces.
At 9:40, the Dolos was sunk by the Federation 3rd fleet, drastically weakening the Zeon forces in N field. At 10:10, the Dolowa was also sunk. The loss of both Dolos-class dealt a significant blow to the Zeon defenders, and the fortress fell not long after.
In the strategy game series Gihren's Greed, the Dolos-class ships are nigh-indestructible vessels with the largest mobile suit capacity and powerful beam cannons that enable it to attack foes from huge distances. True to their origin they are incredibly slow and ridiculously expensive; the amount of resources needed to build one Dolos-class could be used to build a small fleet.
Notes and Trivia
- All scenes featuring the Dolos were reanimated for the compilation movie. However, the scene where it was destroyed was omitted.
