Dique Gunhale (ディケ・ガンヘイル Deike Ganheiru?) is a supporting character who appears in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. He is the father of Arisa Gunhale and the grandfather of Wootbit Gunhale.

During the latter portion of the Diva's mission to take down Ambat, Dique helps Vargas Dyson with servicing mobile suits and operating the AGE System. By the time Asemu Asuno joins the Diva, he has made his way up to chief mechanic of the Gundam AGE-2 and manages the AGE System.
History[]
1st Generation (A.G. 115)[]
Dique grew up in Nora as a friend of protagonist Flit Asuno and female lead Emily Armond. He expressed interest in the identity of the UE, believing that they could be aliens.[1] After the UE attack Nora, he reunites with Emily and the pair head to Flit, who has been ordered to take his Gundam to the Diva. Although Dique is eager to evacuate, he ends up following Emily who decides to chase after Flit. Dique and Emily reach the base but find it locked. They run into Dian Fonroid, who tells them to leave. They take advantage of Dian's entry into the base and sneak in. The pair overhear Dian's plan to abandon the people and leave Nora in the Diva, then witness Grodek Ainoa's insubordination towards his superior officer. They then head to the Diva and board the battleship, reuniting with Vargas Dyson. The Diva departs, and the trio head to the AGE System so that Vargas can use it to support Flit while he engages the UE in battle.[2] He finally reunites with Flit when he returns to the Diva.[3]
After the battle, Dique becomes worried about his family and the others and they discuss what will happen to everyone with the other members of the crew. Millais Alloy reassures him that she will try to contact his parents. Woolf Enneacle soon enters the room after awakening from his cold sleep and asks what is going on. Dique recognizes him and tells the others who he is. When Woolf challenges Flit for the Gundam, he worriedly watches their battle from the Diva.[4]
Dique is excited to leave the Diva when the crew arrive at Fardain, and marvels at the airport. He is upset when Flit and Emily leave him alone.[5] After the UE attack Fardain, he is with Vargas when the latter helps Flit equip the Titus. He watches the subsequent battles and cheers for Flit when he wins.[6] He is later seen in the hangar with Flit and the others as Woolf gloats about his G-Exes. Dique for his part is also impressed by the new mobile suit. After Woolf gets a call from Mukured Madorna, Dique goes with him to the Madorna Workshop along with Flit and Emily. He is impressed by Mukured's mobile suits. He flees with the others when the Zefran attacks. After the battle, he returns to the Diva with the others and listens in surprise as Grodek reveals the truth and about his future plans.[7]
Dique resolves to join the crew as they head for Minsry with the intention of attacking the UE at Ambat.[8] He watches as Vargas uses the AGE System to upgrade the Diva.[9] He marvels at the Photon Blaster Cannon on the way to Ambat, and once there, he helps man the weapons after the Diva switches to its' assault landing.[10] He helps Vargas with maintenance throughout the battle and celebrates their victory.[11]
2nd Generation (A.G. 141)[]
Dique served as mechanic in Diva. He presents the new mobile suit to Asemu, Gundam AGE-2. After his tour interrupted by Woolf, Dique introduces himself to Asemu. Back at Tordia, Dique, alongside with Arisa and his wife, attends Asemu and Romary's Wedding.
