Dick Allen (ディック・アレン?) is a character who appears in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.
History[]
Dick is a Earth Federation Forces soldier posted to Torrington Base in Sydney, Australia. He is the test pilot of the RGM-79 Powered GM, which is equipped with a prototype backpack for Gundam Prototype 1. During the assault on Torrington Base and the theft of RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis", Allen, along with South Burning, Kou Uraki and Chuck Keith, attempt to recapture it. He discovers Komusai II descending to retrieve it, and attempts to shoot it, but is taken by surprise by Adamski's Dom Tropen, who appears and kills him.
In the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion", the Powered GM itself is destroyed by Adamski, but he survives the attack on the Torrington base. However, he consulted with Burning about his intention to be discharged from the army due to his fear of death. With Burning's arrangement, he is transferred to another post and gets out of the Albion. Later, on his way to his new post, he rides in the same convoy as Nick Orville and is attacked. At that time, he hears that Orville has sabotaged Albion's mega particle cannon, so he boards the Core Fighter II and participates in the battle at the Kimberlite base. Although he informs Albion about the sabotage of the mega particle cannon, he is injured during the battle and dies in a suicide attack to stop the mega particle cannon of the Adzam Repair piloted by Neuen Bitter.
