Deatroaf Kocsel (デトローフ・コッセル?) is a character that appears the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.
Personality & Character[]
Although he is a huge man, he is extremely capable as a second-in-command, as he is able to accurately assess Cima's behavior and determine what instructions she wants.
History[]
A former soldier of the Zeon Principality's Assault Task Force, he is the captain of the Cima Fleet's flagship Lili Marleen and Cima's second-in-command. He hails from Mahal, a three-bunch colony on Side 3. He was the first person to call Cima "Master Cima". By the end of the One Year War, the name had become a part of the entire Cima Fleet, but Cima herself initially instructed him to call her "Commander Cima."
During the final phase of the Delaz Conflict, he and Cima took control of the Gwaden's bridge. However, the bridge was destroyed by a blow from Gato's Neue Ziel, and Kocsel was thrown out into the vacuum of space with his men.
In the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion", he commanded Lili Marleen to shield Cima's Gerbera Tetra during the Solar System II irradiation, and seemingly shared the fate of the ship. He survives along with the other Marines, and leaves for Jupiter with Cima.
