While Suletta uses the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial to defeat Guel Jeturk and his Dilanza in a duel, Shaddiq Zenelli asks Rouji to look up the Aerial using his Haro. He cannot find a match for its individual Permet code but notes there's one machine that's similar. Shaddiq believes it was by Ochs Earth Corporation]], but Rouji considers that impossible. If it is a Witch's mobile suit, then they can't just leave it alone. Suletta has just been referred to by Miorine Rembran as her groom, but she assures Suletta there's no way she's doing that as it is was something her lousy father decided without consulting her. Her true desire is to go to Earth.

Students who had been watching the duel in their classrooms are shocked that Guel lost. Watching on her fellow Earth House member's student notebook, Nika is amazed by what mobile suits are built on Mercury. Chuatury was showing the deal to Martin but the signal is jammed. Mobile suits enter the 13th Tactical Testing Sector and order duelling to be ceased, pointing their weapons at the Aerial. Miorine notices the logo on the mobile suits as belonging to the front management company. They inform Suletta that she and her mobile suit are to be taken into custody on suspicion of using a Gundam. Suletta denies that Aerial is a Gundam and Miorine tells them to lower their weapons. Despite their jobs being to manage the fronts, rules set by the President take precedence over all others. With this, Miorine realizes her father was responsible again.

The company are perplexed because the Aerial doesn't look like an old machine nor did it take the life of its pilot. Suletta answers truthfully about her age (17) and the status of her parents (her father is deceased and her mother is at Lagrange 1) but does not know what the interrogator means when he states machines equipped with the GUND Format have been suspended by the agreement. She continues to assert that her mobile suit's name is Aerial, not Gundam. The interrogator gets straight to his point and asks Suletta if she is a member of the Vanadis Institute that developed the Gundams.

The Benerit Group are watching her interrogation. Nevola does not think she is a witch and Sarius asks for links to Vanadis. Another CEO mentions that her mobile suit is registered with the Shin Sei Development Corporation of Mercury and that they are currently investigating. Vim Jeturk slams the table, believing the results of the duel are evidence it is a Gundam and that Shin Sei are more than a bunch of miners. Sarius alternatively posits that the Aerial is the ghost of Ochs Earth. Vim declares the duel results to be void and demands the confiscation of the Aerial and the deportation of the pilot back to Mercury. Sarius knows from his intentions that this would make Guel the Holder again. Delling Rembran remotely joins the meeting and orders the summoning of Shin Sei's representative so they can hold an inquiry.

With the duel results voided, gossip emerges around Asticassia that the transfer student cheated. While in a lesson about Mobile Crafts, a student almost feels sorry for Suletta but her classmate points out that she made off with someone else's prize, focusing on Miorine who's sitting on the other side of the classroom.

At a stairwell, a teacher returns Nanaura's student notebook from the front management company. Nanaura corrects the teachers assumption that Suletta had taken it. Nonetheless, lending student notebooks is against school regulations. She asks when Suletta will be back but the teacher walks away, telling her that an Earthian like her should stay out of it and just concentrate on her studies. The discriminatory response makes her tighten the grip on her student notebook.

At a monorail stop, Elan Ceres and another student see Shaddiq off as he's about to go to the inquiry. Shaddiq asks Elan to take care of the Duelling Committee for him. Elan notes that he works awfully hard for for a student. Shaddiq replies that he is just doing it because he wants to. They refer to the inquiry as a "Witch trial". Elan appears to show interest in Suletta which Shaddiq teases him for.

Members of Jeturk House arrive to help Miorine to repair the damage Guel did to the greenhouse. Lauda tells Miorine that his brother asked him to. He tells her his brother is absent today and Miorine concludes he got summoned by his father for losing. Felsi contrasts how Guel acts to his parent with Miorine's. Petra believes Miorine is in fact similar to her father for leaving Suletta dangling after she fought for Miorine. Felsi heard from her father that Suletta is going to be expelled and her mobile suit scrapped. With this news, Miorine forcibly gives Felsi a tool and leaves, not before threatening to kill Felsi if she touches her tomatoes.

During lunch break, Martin looks up the Shin Sei Development Corporation on his student notebook. It was founded 33 years ago and is ranked D (151st out of 157 companies) within the Benerit Group. Despite being at the bottom of the ladder, he is impressed Suletta got into the the school and Nika is similarly impressed they managed to make their own mobile suit. Unfortunately, the mobile suit was not approved but it would be different if she had a bigger supporter. Chuatury says that at their school one is as good as the rank of the company giving the recommendation. Martin self-loathes about being born on Earth, which prompts Chuatury to complain that it is Spacians who are holding them down. Nika and Martin urge Chuchu to be quiet. Suddenly, two bullies arrive claiming the Earth House students are sitting at their usual table. Chuatury questions their claim unlike Nika who goes along with it, saying they've finished eating. With that statement, one of the bullies spits gum on her rice since Nika would be throwing it out if she's finished. Chuchu raises her voice at the bully's bad manners, but Nika leaves. Chuatury follows Nika, leaving Martin behind to pick up his and Chuatury's trays.

Miorine video calls the front management company, demanding to see Suletta, operator No. 2 tells her it's up to President Delling. Frustrated at her father again, she lurks around the spaceport departure lounge. An announcement mentions an infectious spread of SV29 in Front Autonomous Sector 33. An agent arrives, but her is not here to get Miorine back to class as she expects but to deliver a message from a her father. She is to be unenrolled from the school so he can arrange a groom himself and return immediately. Miorine takes the agent's phone to read it herself. She is furious at her father for never consulting or explaining to her; whether enrolling her at the school, forcing her to quit piano, who she should be friends with, even her own mother's funeral. She throws the phone at the window, and rushes to the bathroom. An incognito smuggler notices Miorine.

Miorine locks herself in the bathroom playing a game on her student notebook. The smuggler knocks on the door and says the rendezvous point for the planned escape she did not show up for. Since she had paid to be smuggled to Earth, the offer is still on if she makes her decision within 30 minutes. Miorine hesitates for 8 seconds before agreeing.

The spaceport controller is a collaborator with the smugglers so Miorine easily boards their ship. With 5 minutes until they can no longer change course, Miorine affirms that she will continue her journey to Earth.

Delling signs a form with his finger print. Rajan informs that Miorine has disappeared again, having shaken off the men watching her. Delling knows that his daughter is heading for Earth anyway so he orders the immigration authorities to spread a dragnet. The arrival of the Shin Sei representative has also been confirmed.

Guel gets slapped on the face by his father for losing the duel. Guel bows for forgiveness. Although his father will have the duel result voided, Guel does not seem pleased with that. After Guel leaves the office, Vim is told he has another visitor; the representative of the Shin Sei Development corporation.

Lady Prospera is in Vim's office, it is the first time they have met each other since her appointment as president 3 years ago. He pre-emptively turns down the offer to speak to the President on her behalf, but she is in fact there for the opposite reason.

Suletta curls herself up in a fetal position as she floats in microgravity, thinking of her mom. The buzzer rings on her cell door and she panics as Elan enters offering food. A fellow Asticassia student, he introduces himself to Suletta. The guard for Suletta's cell let Elan do his job. Suletta digs in and bites a loaf of bread as she begins to cry. She gulps downs the drink and wipes her tears and gives Elan her thanks. She questions his motive, to which he plainly answers that she interests him and has a desire to learn more about her. This makes her blush.

The inquiry begins with the major Benerit Group CEOs in attendance. Shaddiq, who has tied up his hair, also attends by his father's side. Lady Prospera denies that she is a witch and all ties to the Vanadis Institute. When questioned on how she built a Gundam, she outright denies the Aerial is a Gundam but instead a product of Shin Sei's newly-developed drone technology. Shaddiq brings evidence from his spectating of the duel that the machine's Permet influx values exceeded the standards—a unique characteristic of the GUND Format, the core system of all Gundams. Lady Prospera retorts that if that machine is equipped with the GUND Format, they should also have detected a data storm. Shaddiq admits that none was detected. Lady Prospera explains its control system is based on a conventional Permet link and is confident that it complies with all of the group's technology provisions. When Nugen says that alone doesn't prove it isn't a Gundam. Lady Prospera tries to use the absence of evidence to assert her claim, however, Sarius does not buy her response. Although the one of the smallest, Shin Sei Corporations are still a member of the Benerit Group and are aware of the Cathedra Agreement, on this Lady Propsera asks for the other CEOs' trust. Vim pretends to doubt Lady Prospera, and she throws her prosthetic arm over to him as part of their pre-agreed scheme. She then explains that her arm as well as the face behind her mask, both claimed by Mercury's magnetic field. Environmental conditions on Mercury are severe. However, utilizing their drone technology, they'll be able to mine for Permet without putting anyone in danger. Betting on her fellow CEOs' sympathy, she asks to be allowed to continue the Aerial's development. Despite all that, Delling refuses, and asserts that the Aerial is a Gundam, simply be cause he says so. Since all members of the group are afraid to object, the matter is settled. Delling plans to dispose of the mobile suit and "get rid" of the student pilot, Suletta Mercury. Vim has something to say about the latter part but is interrupted when Miorine walks in.

Miorine speaks up about her father changing the rules after the fact. Honoring their customer's request, the smugglers had taken Miorine to the inquiry instead of Earth. Delling talks down to Miorine, saying she has no authority. When she likens his attitude to a king, he accepts it. He is vested in power and she has none. Rajan grabs her left arm but she throws it off while speaking a saying Suletta had told her. Miorine challenges her own father to a duel. If her side wins, Delling must accept Suletta as her fiancé. If he wins, he can do as he pleases. Vim intervenes in the father-daughter quarrel. Even if it was accidental, since the machine defeated his company's Dilanza, he suggested to give it more time to see what it can do; they may be able to profit off of it. Lady Prospera believes the school duels will be an effective test of the Aerial's abilities and even offers Nugen to provide Peil with the machine's technical data. Sarius asks if she intends to violate the Cathedra Agreement and a further debate erupts amongst the Benerit Group members.

Miorine bursts into Suletta's cell, startling her. Miorine commands her to duel and win again. If she loses, the Aerial will be scrapped and she'll be expelled from the school.

A ship flies by an asteroid. The Darilbalde is chased by two Dilanzas which fires beams at it. The Darilbalde detaches the beam saber parts from its back and its beam-javelin-carrying arms from its front, they spin around its body, slicing the Dilanzas.
