Connolly (コノリー?) is a fictional character from the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series and the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga.
History[]
The Battle Tales of Flanagan Boone[]
At some point in late September of U.C. 0079, Conolly trains under Lt. Flanagan Boone at California Base as part of Boone's Naga III squadron. Following the death of Garma Zabi and Lady Icelina's failed Gaw attack, Connolly is one of many others elated by the survival of Flanagan Boone, saluting him upon his return to base, and informs him that Char Aznable was there to see him. When Boone asks why he is here, the other men to point out that Char was demoted for letting both Garma and Icelina die and begin shouting insults to which Connolly is quick to apologize for, stating that their morale was hurt by Garma's death.
As the Naga III awaited new orders, Conolly joins Boone on their Jukon-class submarine as they hold a memorial for Garma Zabi with the other men, releasing flowers into the ocean. Eventually, the Naga III squad is folded into the Mad-Angler team and they head out on the ships maiden voyage to Hawaii, being guided by former Earth Federation Aquatics commander Saquah Renoah.
Mobile Suit Gundam[]
Connolly is a subordinate of Flanagan Boone, stationed near the Earth Federation's Belfast, Ireland Base. During an attack on White Base, Boone orders Connolly to head out and make contact with Zeon spy Miharu Ratokie. Connolly meets up with Miharu, telling her to sneak aboard White Base and find out where it is going.
