Clone is a term introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Overview[]

A clone is an organism produced asexually and born with the same or near identical genetic information as its progenitor.

History[]

Cloning humans was made an illegal act by C.E. 46. However, wealthy industrialist Al Da Flaga contracted G.A.R.M. R&D scientist Ulen Hibiki to create clone of himself in exchange for finacial support for his other projects. Ulen created two clones, known as Rau and Rey. However, the imperfect cloning process caused both of them to share the same degree of telomere length as Al, resulting in a shorten lifespan.[1][2]
