Chase Skullgard (チェイス・スカルガード Cheisu Sukarugādo?) is the protagonist of the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Aggressor.

A former citizen of the Principality of Zeon, he lost his father at a young age in a shuttle hijacking attempt, but his life was saved by Heinz Highway, who would become his father-figure. Before the start of the One Year War he was a test pilot for Zeon's prototype mobile suits, testing the limits of their maneuverability before they went to the military for combat trials. Chase and Heinz would participate in the first weeks of the war as mobile suit pilots in the Griffon Team, but were declared traitors by Dianne Neuss because of their protests over the atrocities committed against spacenoids during Operation British. Facing execution, they instead went into political exile in Side 6. There they would both enlist in the Earth Federation Forces.
Because of his skills as a mobile suit pilot he is used by the Earth Federation Forces as a pilot in an "aggressor squadron," piloting captured Zaku mobile suits in mock battles against GM trainees to prepare them for real combat. They are posted near Jaburo. During patrols the aggressor squadron found a transport plane that had been shot down by Zeon forces in the area, which held the prototype Red Rider. They salvaged the mysterious mobile suit, although they did not have the capabilities to fully repair it.
