Chapter X Prologue is the prologue chapter of the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray.

Plot[]
On a small island in the Pacific Ocean, Reverend Malchio entrusts a young boy named Prayer Reverie with a mission that only he could accomplish, saying that it could save those suffering from energy shortage on Earth. Prayer accepts, but feels unsure if someone like him could do it. Malchio assured him that the Junk Guild members waiting for him in space were kind people who could help him. Feeling more confident now, Prayer bids the Reverend farewell and departs.
As Prayer left, Malchio referred to him as the "child of destiny" and said that he must not escape and he must shine until the last moment of his life. The next page showed the MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame with two new Gundams, with narration stating that the crossing of two new shooting stars in the universe would lead Astray to the next stage.
At Mendel, George Glenn warned the Re.H.O.M.E. crew that an unknown mobile suit was approaching. Lowe Guele asks Kisato Yamabuki and Liam Garfield to return to the ship while he observed the situation in the Red Frame. Upon seeing the mobile suit, Lowe realized it was unlike any mobile suit he had seen before.
Lowe contacted the pilot of the mobile suit, asking what his business was with the Junk Guild. The pilot asked if Lowe's mobile suit was a Gundam. He then raised his gun at the Red Frame and asked if Lowe knew a Coordinator Gundam pilot named Kira Yamato.
