The EA Cargo Truck is a ground vehicle introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The EA Cargo Truck is a multi-purpose vehicle, able to be equipped with several different trailers for transport operations. The standard cargo container trailer is used to transport supplies and has a built-in crane for loading and unloading. The flatbed trailer is primarily used to transport Alliance nuclear missiles, and can hold up to 40 missiles.
One variant of the Cargo Truck removes the standard rear to add a battery unit to power mobile suit, similar to ZAFT's Supply Truck.[1] Another variant houses radar and communication unit, sending relying information from the front line to command center, or sending information to allied forces. This variation is known as the Radar Truck. While versatile enough to tow multiple different types of trailers, due to its size, these vehicles could be too big and heavy for some terrains.
History[]
Cargo Trucks were common vehicles used by the Earth Alliance throughout the First Alliance-PLANT War to transport supplies and equipment across Earth and within Space Colonies.[2][1] During the later stages of the war, these trucks were used to transport Nuclear Missiles both on Earth and the EA's lunar military base, Ptolemaeus.[3]
Cargo Trucks continued their role during the Second Alliance-PLANT War.[4]
