Cancer Kafka(キャンサー・カフカ) is a fictional character from ∀ Gundam television series.
Personality & Character[]
Cancer is a fierce and boisterous warrior. She stays loyal to the Queen in spite of the poor treatment her people receive from Dianna Counter, and sacrifices her life to keep Dianna Soreil out of the hands of Gym Ghingham.
As someone who stayed behind on Earth, she is happy to take part in their customs even if they are seen as barbaric by the Moonrace. She also does not particularly like war, but fights because she needs to as a subject of Dianna.
She also seems to have a fear of being the only one left alive. The nuclear explosion gave her nightmares afterwards.[1]
History[]
The RRET Team's combat leader. Like all the members of the RRET Team, Cancer is the descendant of a group of settlers whom Dianna abandoned on Earth over 100 years ago. She is often seen working for Dianna Counter, though she does not like them. Her efforts are usually thwarted by Loran.
She is present during the battle for the nuclear warheads. She survives the battle, but is left traumatised. She attacks the Willgem with Muron in an attempt to retrieve the remaining warheads, but stops in her tracks when Guin uses Kihel Heim as a hostage as Cancer believes that Kihel is actually Dianna. After losing the battle, Kihel tells Guin that Cancer and Muron don't need to surrender as they were loyal to her in spite of their treatment. Cancer is moved by how 'Dianna' still remembers them and once again pledges her allegiance, vowing to rescue her from the Inglessa Militia next time.[2]
When Muron sees Dianna on the sea, she assembles her team and head over to rescue her. When they reunite, she is elated when Dianna thanks her for her service and mentions her ancestor by name. She and Muron join Dianna and Meme Midgard on the way to the moon. While in space, she overhears a conversation between Midgard and Ghingham where they suggest assassinating Dianna. She informs Muron and the pair break Dianna out of her confinement and steal a shuttle, pretending to be tired of space. As they were originally from Earth, Midgard assumes they simply couldn't hack being in space and decides against pursuing them, thinking they will rot in space anyway.
At the end, She and Muron Muron trap inside FLAT-L06D FLAT which is damaged. Celebrate for their succeed mission escort Queen Dianna, their mobile suit no longer function drifting toward Earth. Their fate is unknow in but could be they already dead.
