Euclides is a Celestial Being support craft in Mobile Suit Gundam 00F. The ship would later be succeeded by CBS-70 Ptolemaios.
Its name is taken from an astronomer in the same ancient times as that of the Ptolemaios. It’s nickname is Euclid.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
Euclides is a non-combat type ship, it's sole design was for maintenance and repair for Ptolemy. It is able to repair and resupply vessels without preparing special facilities like factories or bases. Up until now, Fereshte did not join up with the Ptolemy Team seeing as how Fon refused direct support. Therefore, their support is conducted in the shadows and the ship was kept hidden in the secret factory in the asteroid without launching. Several huge manipulator arms make up its peculiar form; the main form are without its manipulator arms. The bridge is the same shape as the Ptolemaios. When the huge upper and lower arms are deployed, it is able to repair the Ptolemaios. With the left and right arms, it is also able to support the Ptolemaios 2. Euclides was designed with alternative propulsion, it has four GN Verniers and plasma engines. It can continue operations even without a Gundam as it has a mix of conventional and GN-tech built to the ship. It can also create a GN Field for protection. The ship rarely sees combat as it's GN particles create a natural cloaking effect against electronic sensors; although it can be detected through wide network sensors that detect sudden area blackouts for the ships whereabouts.
System Features
GN Field
The field is created by GN particles thickly concentrated in a local area of space. GN particles are shaped and focused into a spherical form for full defensive coverage; the field itself is not restricted to spherical forms. The field itself can wrap around any shape or size, so long as the necessary amount of particles can be used to form around the surface it was generated/formed on.
History
In Gundam 00F chapter 16, Fon Spaak, who made it into outer space, reactivated the factory ship Euclides. Hanayo helps Fon Spaak piloting GNY-001F2 Gundam Astraea Type F2 and Bring Stability piloting GNY-004B Black Gundam Plutone send asteroids towards Earth. By dropping an asteroid and causing damage on a global scale, the angered masses would support the government’s armed forces reorganization plan. The plan failed when the E.S.F Army sends GNX-607T GN-XII and A-Laws Battlecruiser to destroy the asteroids.
