The CB-X5SGT Assault Type Gunperry (aka Gunperry Sturm Type or Gunperry SIGINT) is an aerial V-TOL transport vehicle and variant of the Gunperry. It appeared in the MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden manga as well as the MSV-R line.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The Assault Type Gunperry has a much larger container, and is equipped with every possible type of observation instrument that can function under Minovsky particle interference. Data collected from these instruments allows on-board officers to make informed decisions and relay them to the mobile suits on the ground, and also enables auto-piloting even under Minovsky interference, which is invaluable during night time flight. Thanks to new engines, the Assault Type has increased mobility, airborne time, and all-weather capabilities. It is also equipped with greatly improved jamming systems and powerful Minovsky particle dispersal equipment.
History[]
In U.C 0079, several CB-X5SGT Gunperry Assault Type were used by the 033th Special MS Company to transport RGM-79V GM Night Seekers. The 033th Company consist of at least five GM Night Seeker units that are transported by Assault Type Gunperry which is escorted by FF-6 TIN Cod.
In U.C 0090, several Gunperry Assault Type units are used by the Earth Federation Forces Task Force - "Knight Jeager".
