Changes: Bronze Gundam Statue

In 2008, the city of Tokyo unveiled a 3-meter tall statue of the RX-78-2 Gundam. It is located at the home of Sunrise, in Kami-Igusa. Sunrise is the studio responsible for the Gundam franchise.

The statue took two years to complete. The total cost of the statue was approximately 20 million yen, with 2 million of this amount subsidized by the government and the rest from Sunrise itself.
