Bob (ボブ Bobu^?) is a character that appears in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. He piloted the YMS-16M Xamel.

Background

Bob was a mobile suit pilot for the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. After the Principality's defeat in the war, Adamski joined the Delaz Fleet, comprised of remnants of Zeon that refused to submit to Federation rule.

History

On 13 October U.C. 0083, the Delaz Fleet initiated the first phase of Operation Stardust by blitzing Earth Federation's Torrington Base in Australia. 1st Lt. Bob was a member of Delaz Fleet's storm trooper MS team, alongside Gaily and Adamski, aiding Maj. Anavel Gato in the theft of the nuclear-armed RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis". During the raid, his Xamel destroyed Torrington Base headquarters building with two direct hits from its cannon, killing the Base Commander Hawkins Marnery in the process. As the Zeon forces escaped with the Gundam GP02, Bob sacrificed himself by blocking the pursuing Federation's MS team, led by South Burning, with Xamel's missile salvos and its sheer bulk. In the confrontation with Burning's GM Kai, Bob was killed when Burning's GM struck its beam saber directly at Xamel's cockpit.
