The Blue Cosmos Attack in Banadiya is a conflict of the First Alliance-PLANT War, featured in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
Prelude[]
During a supply run to the city of Banadiya, Kira Yamato and Cagalli Yula Athha unknowingly drew the attention of a disguised Andrew Waltfeld. During lunch, Andrew joined the two at their table and nonchalantly asked about the large about of items they had been buying. While the trio were eating, members of Blue Cosmos had identified Andrew from a nearby rooftop. Intent on killing him, they wrote off Kira and Cagalli as his allies and didn't mind taking them out with him.[1]
The Battle[]
On the rooftop, one of the Blue Cosmos members fired at Andrew, Kira, and Cagalli with a rocket launcher. However, Kira and Andrew noticed the attacker before the rocket hit and moved to defend themselves. Andrew threw their table up for cover while Kira moved Cagalli behind it. After the rocket hit the restaurant behind them, several Blue Cosmos members came out of the alleyways and started assaulting the group. Andrew took out his gun and started firing back, while several ZAFT soldiers came out of hiding and engaged the Blue Cosmos attackers.[1] During the attack, a Blue Cosmos member targeted Waltfeld from behind in a nearby ally. However, before he could fire, Kira threw a gun toward the attacker, knocking his weapon away from Andrew, and then knock the attacker out with an air kick to his chin. After that, the ZAFT soldiers killed the remaining Blue Cosmos members.[1]
Aftermath[]
After the attack, Andrew revealed his identity to Kira and Cagalli and invited them to his residence to recover. There, Andrew confronted Kira about him being the Strike Gundam’s pilot and being a Coordinator working for the Earth Alliance. After the confrontation, he allowed the two of them to return to the city.[1]
