The Black Hares is a special forces unit that is mentioned in Advance of Zeta Re-Boot: Gundam Inle.
History[]
Within the Titans, there existed a covert special operations team known as the Black Hares. Formed as a secret unit reporting directly to Titans leader Jamitov Hyman and commanded by Colonel Tristan, the Black Hares were tasked with carrying out classified missions under deep cover. Their mobile suits were distinguished by a striking jet-black color scheme—a darker variation of the standard Titans blue, symbolizing both their elite status and the secrecy surrounding their operations. [1]
The unit's name, Black Hares, alluded to its covert nature, and its mobile suits were marked with a “T3” insignia to pose as part of the “Titans Test Team,” concealing their true purpose. The Black Hares were given priority access to cutting-edge prototype mobile weapons to execute high-stakes missions, and the data gathered from these operations contributed to the development of BUNNyS—a specialized enhanced human OS created by the Newtype Research Institute.[1]
After Jamitov’s assassination, Colonel Tristan refused to fall in line under Paptimus Scirocco’s new leadership. Rejecting orders to launch a nuclear strike on Earth using TR Project units, Tristan defected, rallying loyalists within the Titans and leading a breakaway fleet to Mars. This rebellion is said to have been a major factor in the Titans’ eventual downfall. Committed to completing the TR Project at all costs, Tristan made a desperate move to prevent the AEUG from seizing the RX-124 TR-6 [Inle]. He split the machine in two—surrendering the lower half, TR-6 Dandelion II, while escaping with the upper half, the TR-6 Fiver II, known as the “Wings of Inle.”[1]
