Birgitte Knudsen was a character that appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative manga. A Newtype in the Republic of Zeon's military, Brigitte was the youngest member of the White Tri-Stars, and would subsequently take part in the Phenex Hunt.
Personality & Character[]
A generally kind and empathetic soul, who under better circumstances never would have joined the military. Despite this, however, the horrific end of her childhood innocence has left profound scars in the young woman, wounds that would end up resurfacing during the fighting at the Side 6 colony of Metis.
History[]
Though her childhood was spent in relative comfort of a middle-class household, the fortunes of her family would turn after the One Year War, when they were compelled to return to their homeland of Side 3. However, due to now being seen as little more than Colony Refugees, unwanted migrants, the Knudsens fell into poverty.
After some time at a factory job, Brigitte's father Mikael would receive a promotion and a pay-raise – however, the promotion was actually meant to indict him as the fall-guy for an embezzling scandal, which would lead to his murder by Brigitte's mentally-unwell mother, who would soon after kill herself.
With no other prospects for her future, save poverty, Brigitte ended up enlisting in the Republic of Zeon's mililtary.
In U.C. 0097, Brigitte would find herself and her unit joining in the hunt for the Phenex Gundam, which had recently reappeared in the Earth Sphere.
