The Attack on Gryps 2 is a conflict of the Gryps War, featured in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Prelude

Following the Third Attack on Side 2, the Titans began moving the Gryps 2 Colony Laser into position to fire at the lunar city of Granada, the headquarters of the AEUG, and their supporters Anaheim Electronics. After receiving information on the Titans’ actions, Anaheim Electronics Chairman Melanie Hue Carbine sent an envoy to the Argama, ordering them to ally with Axis Zeon, and have their flagship, the Gwadan, neutralize or destroy Gryps 2. After receiving Chairman Carbine’s orders, Kamille Bidan was dissipated to the Gwadan, where Haman Karn agreed to negotiate on the Argama, traveling to the ship in her personal mobile suit, the AMX-004 Qubeley. On the Argama, the AEUG formally recognized Axis Zeon as the successor to the Principality of Zeon, and in return for their assistance preventing Granada’s destruction, the Colony Public Corporation offered Axis Zeon control of Side 3. Haman Karn agreed to the terms and returned to the Gwadan. To ensure that the Gwadan succeeded in its mission, Captain Bright Noa ordered the Argama and the Radish to launch an attack on Gryps as a means of distracting the defending Titans forces.

Aftermath

After the battle, the AEUG and Axis Zeon decided to continue their partnership with the ultimate goal of destroying the Titans. During the Negotiations at the Gate of Zedan, Haman Karn had the Argama standby to cover her escape following her attempted assassination of the Titans leader, Jamitov Hymen. While the assassination attempt failed, the AEUG and Axis Zeon would launch a combined attack against the Titans during the Destruction of the Gate of Zedan, after Haman ordered the Axis asteroid to ram the space fortress.
