The Asticassia Massacre is a conflict featured in Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury
Prelude[]
The Attack on Quinharbor caught people off guard by its suddenness and brutality, and the Earthian Independence Movement declared open war against Benerit's forces. Suletta Mercury, upon witnessing coverage of the event, realized that this was what her mother, Prospera Mercury, and her "sister", the XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild, were trying to push her away from. Norea Du Noc, upon witnessing news coverage of the attack while captive in Grassley house, fell into deeper rage and swore vengeance against the Spacians. The attack also damaged trust in GUND-ARM, Inc., as people believed that Miorine Rembran had a hand in the events and that its flagship Aerial had aggravated the conflict.
Meanwhile, Guel Jeturk had discovered that Shaddiq Zenelli had been behind the Dawn of Fold terrorist attacks and went to confront him, despite Kenanji Avery warning him that they should gather evidence and locate Sarius Zeniell. Guel retrieved the MD-0064 Darilbalde from his brother Lauda Neill just as Shaddiq and his team arrived. Kenanji initially asked Shaddiq to let them entry into the school while Shaddiq insisted they had things under control, Guel rushed in with his Daribalde and accused Shaddiq of coordinating the attacks and demanding him for Sarius's whearabouts only for Shaddiq to engaged him in battle with the Michaelis.
As the two battled, Shaddiq ordered that their captives, Norea, Elan and Nika, be released. Henao Jazz flew in a craft holding Sarius captive to meet with representatives from the Space Assembly League, while remaining four Grassley House pilots engaged against Kenanji's Dominicus forces to cover her escape.
Norea rushed to pilot her Lfrith Thorn, which was still held within Grassley House. Despite Elan's attempts to talk her down, Norea refused to listen and launched in her mobile suit and used the GUND Format to activate the remaining three Gundvölva units.
Battle[]
When Norea started her her rampage to destroy School and everything in Asticassia Colony. While Guel fights Shaddiq in one-on-one combat.
Aftermath[]
As Shaddiq was captured by the Front Management Company, he told Guel that regardless of the outcome of this battle for his faction, he hoped that it would compel the Space Assembly League to recognize the instability of the Benerit Group and compel them to intervene.[1]
Through the rest of the day and into the night, operations were launched to rescue any remaining trapped or deceased students and to apprehend all of the wrecked Gundam mobile suits across the campus. Members of the Earth House also contributed to the immediate rescue efforts[1]. A temporary camp was set up in the campus to house all of the remaining students, who were given makeshift tents and rations as recovery efforts continued around the school. The Earth House took the lead in distributing supplies and providing their own fresh stockpiled food to the students.[2]
At a meeting of the League, the massacre was cited as one of the key justifications for their decision to launch an intervention against the Benerit Group, along with Peil Technologies defecting and revealing confidential information about the group's activities.[2]
