Alma Stirner is a main protagonist and one of playable character in Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy. She piloted a customized MS-06G Zaku II High Mobility Ground Type for the Noisy Fairy Squadron [1]. She later switched to the MS-18NF Titania - a High Mobility Close-Combat Mobile Suit.
Personality & Character[]
Her perceptive nature made it difficult for her to make friends, but her cheerful, hard-working personality has proved invaluable to her squadmates [2].
As a child, Alma was unable to "read the room". This caused enough problems that her family willingly handed her over to the Flanagan Institute when they became interested in her potential. [3]
Skills & Abilities[]
She was incredibly talented, despite a lack of live combat experience prior to her joining Noisy Fairy [2]. As a Newtype, she is able sense Lilith Aidan's bloodlust during battle, has some precognitive abilities, and can hear Marion Whelch's agony from the EXAM System. These piloting abilities caused her to input control commands faster than her Zaku II High Mobility Ground could respond, causing intense wear to it. These high response times were utilized while piloting the Titania, a suit made for Newtype use. Despite her Newtype status, the Flanagan Institute could not get Psycommu systems to function with her.
History[]
On April 6th of 0079, Alma Stirner was registered as a research subject at the Flanagan Institute, where she met Marion Whelch, and unofficially enrolled in the Principality of Zeon's military academy. [3] She later became a test pilot for the MAM-07-X3 Grublo Underwater Bit-Mounted Prototype at California Base, but was unable to operate it.[4]
She was assigned to what would be named Noisy Fairy Squadron on September 18th after showing "outstandingly superior results in training for MS combat under gravity". The other two members of her squad were Mia Brinkman and Helena Hegel, and it was determined by Commander Killy Garrett that Stirner would be the leader of the ms squad. [3]
In October, Stirner lead an attack on Federation supply convoy in Seattle under the name Operation Trick-or-Treat. Federation reinforcements arrived, including Lilith Aidan in her beam spear equipped RGM-79[G] GM Ground Type , who’s presence and hatred caused Alma to struggle breathing for a brief moment. Noisy Fairy would be confronted by Aidan, but successfully destroyed the convoy due to having prepared the ambush site with dummy balloon mines and projections of decoy mobile suits. Noisy Fairy struggled to fight Aidan, but were saved when she retreated with the other Federation forces following their realization of mission failure. [3]
In mid-November, Stirner lead a salvage operation to the Arizona desert to recover the wreckage of the YMT-05 Hildolfr. Despite the presence of Federation forces, once more leading to a confrontation with Lilith Aidan, the mission was successful with no losses until the final evacuation. Before Stirner could board the evacuation vehicle, she received minor injuries and her Zaku suffered heavy (but repairable) damage in a parting attack by Aidan, who had reappeared in an early production model of the RX-78XX Gundam Pixy. While Stirner's physical injuries were minor, the psychic pressure of the fight with Aidan led to her falling comatose after boarding the Slyph. [3]
Later the same month, Stirner would awake from her coma. After sitting out another mission to heal, she would resume command for a mission to recover or destroy the HLV containing the her new mobile suit after it had been knocked off course during entry and landed near Augusta. Noisy Fairy would clear the area of Federation forces but be interrupted by the arrival of the prototype RX-80WR White Rider and RX-80BR Black Rider as reinforcements. After a struggle, the two prototypes would be forced to retreat due to their short operational time, and the contents of the HLV were successfully recovered. Upon opening it was discovered the HLV only contained the new model frame of Stirner’s new mobile suit. [3]
Following the completion of Mia Brinkman’s new support machine, MS-09[NF] Dom Gnomides , Stirner assisted in a mission to intercept forces on their way to the Zeon controlled California base, and eliminated a Heavy Fork while piloting her Zaku. Working together again, her spirits were raised and she requested to be squad leader once more, at which Brinkman was extremely relieved. [3]
After this, the MS-18NF Titania was completed, further uplifting Stirner. The squadron was then sent to assist in a mission to prevent reinforcements to the Federation front on California Base, the mission objective being destroying a Big Tray. Now with the Titania, and the other two customized units of the squadron, the Big Tray and it’s surrounding forces were swiftly eliminated. However after the Big Tray was defeated, the Witch Hunt Team led by Barry Abbot arrived, including Lilith Aidan, now piloting a personally customized Pixy, and executed a surprise attack on the squadron. Using Aidan’s rage, Stirner led her away from the rest of her squad, leaving Brinkman and Hegel to handle Barry Abbot and his team. Alma Stirner had her final duel with Lilith Aidan, and dismembered the custom Pixy’s arms. Lilith, despite this was not intent on giving up, however damage prevented her ms from moving. Having abandoned her fear, Stirner left Aidan’s mobile suit, as it had been sufficiently disabled, and Barry Abbot, who arrived to rescue Aidan, allowed their retreat. [3]
Following this, the base of Noisy Fairy, Tír na nÓg, had its location leaked to the federation by a spy within, however the spy confessed and Commander Killy ordered preparations for an attack. The Witch Hunt Team and the Black Dog Team, led by Renato Germi. After defeating initial waves of forces, stalling for non combatants at the base to evacuate, Germi and his team of RGM-79S GM Spartan’s engage Stirner. After exchanging blows, Sturner retreats to the MS elevator next to the base, leaving Germi to threaten shooting the base. Barry Abbot steps in, restating their orders are to capture and investigate the base, which Germi ignores, but before he is caught in the self destruct blast, Lilith Aidan saves him. Alma Striner escapes with the rest of the team on the Sylph, headed to the California base. [3]
After the deliberate destruction of Tír na nÓg in a fighting retreat, Noisy Fairy relocated to California Base. As part of a patrol, they would encounter Federation scouts. In the battle, Federation forces were reinforced by Yuu Kajima in RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny Unit 1, but Noisy Fairy forced him to retreat, but not before seemingly sensing the presence of Marion Whelch, whom she had met at the Flanagan Institute. Stirner and the rest of Noisy Fairy would then join other last out Zeon special forces (including the Midnight Fenrir Corps, the 5th Terrestrial Mobile Division, and Blaugher Team) responsible for delaying Federation forces long enough that the rest of Zeon could successfully retreat. Noisy Fairy would then participate in actions to misdirect pursuing Federation forces away from fleeing Zeon units. These operations proved successful beyond expectations, and allowed half of California Base's personnel to reach Cape Canaveral. During these encounters, Stirner has a one on one duel with Lilith Aiden, while the rest of the Witch Hunt Team was handled by Brinkman and Hegel. Feeling she had abandoned her hatred, Stirner left Aiden's mobile suit disabled, but its pilot unharmed. Barry Abbott, having witnessing this action, allowed Stirner to retreat. [3]When Zeon surrenders at A Baoa Qu, the order to stand down took some time to disseminate to the Federation's Earth-side forces. When standdown orders reached all sides Stirner fully shut down her MS, believing that, in dying, the forces surrounding her would have their revenge and would guarantee the survival of her team. Much to their dismay, she got out and stood on the cockpit hatch, awaiting an attack that would kill her. It’s at this time that a extremely damaged GM Spartan, piloted by Renato Germi, appeared through the crowd, driven by pure rage and anger, demanding the forces to shoot and kill before lifting and aiming a rifle himself. Before a shot could be fired, Lilith Aidan appeared and tackled the GM Spartan to the ground, backed up by Barry Abbot who ordered the rest of the Federation forces at the base to stand down. Stirner would surrender peacefully to Lilith Aidan, meeting her face to face for the first time and sharing a smile. [3]
After the war, Alma returned to Side 3. She would eventually be contacted by Killy Garrett for a reunion of Noisy Fairy. [3]
