Second-in command to Meia Shiva, who plots to prevent peace between PLANT and Earth Alliance. He first met Shiva via Zodiac Alliance, and they have worked together at multiple points throughout the course of their political activities. He often plays a supporting role to Shiva, and he eventually became her second-in command when she was promoted to commander after the founding of ZAFT.
The death of this parents at the hands of Naturals is a factor in his strong support of Patrick Zala and his eponymous faction. Following the Second Battle of Jachin Due, he persuaded Shiva to break away from ZAFT. He continues to rally Zala Faction soldiers to their cause while waiting for the right moment to return.
In his return, he was with a ZAFT patrol to restore their surveillance satellite networks, he shoots 3 GINN's and take over a Laurasia-class with his fellow Zala Faction Remnants members and the members set up base in Africa. Following that, Athrun Zala piloting the Murasame Flight-Capable Test Type headed to their base. Having plan to but nukes in to a submarine and disrupt the peace meeting taking place in Nairobi, Africa.
In this battle against Athrun Zala, he ultimately choose initiate self-destruct in his GuAIZ and perished in that battle
