Akatsuki Manor

Akatsuki Manor is a building introduced in anime OVA Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: After-Phase Between the Stars.

Overview[]

Akatsuki Manor is a large building located on Akatsuki Island, inside the Orb Archipelago.

History[]

Akatsuki Manor became the shared home of Murrue Ramius and Andrew Waltfeld after the end of the First Alliance-PLANT War.^[1]^[2] Following the "Break The World" Incident, the residence of Reverend Malchio's Orphanage, including Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne, moved into the Manor until a new orphanage could be built.

After the start of the Second Alliance-PLANT War, a ZAFT special forces team attacked Akatsuki Manor in an attempted assassination on Lacus. The attack squad were fended off by Murrue and Andrew while the rest of the residence made it to the safe room. When the ZAFT squad began destroying the building with UMF/SSO-3 ASHs mobile suits, Kira and Andrew unlocked the secret hangar doors beneath the manor and Kira launched in the repaired ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. Kira swiftly disabled the ZAFT mobile suit while the residence made it out unharmed, but the entire building was destroyed.^[3]

By C.E. 74, Akatsuki Manor had been restored and after the end of the Second Alliance-PLANT War, Murrue and Andrew returned there with Mu La Flaga, while Reverend Malchio and the Orphans returned to their restored Orphanage.^[4]^[5]

Akatsuki Manor heavily resembles the Kazami estate from another Mitsuo Fukuda anime, Future GPX Cyber Formula SIN.
