The African Community is an economic and military alliance of states in the North and West Africa region.
History
As a non-PLANT country, it was at odds with the South African Unity Organization, so it took the position of a pro-PLANT country and stationed ZAFT's Waltfeld Corps there. However, Waltfeld's troops are defeated in a battle with the Earth Alliance's Archangel and the resistance group "Desert Dawn" led by Sahib Ashman. Later, after the PLANT's ground forces withdrew due to a counter-offensive by the Earth Alliance, it was divided into countless autonomous regions and effectively collapsed as a community.
At the time of "SEED DESTINY", when ZAFT reacquired Gibraltar by agreement, the northwest coast of Africa from Morocco to Cote d'Ivoire remains as ZAFT's sphere of influence, but there is no mention of whether the community has been reestablished or is a different organization (the status of the African front is also unknown).
