Synopsis[]
Tekkadan and Turbines go on ahead to Earth, leaving Mikazuki and Yukinojo on the Saisei to complete final adjustments to the Barbatos. But the events aboard the Saisei have greatly affected their respective states of mind.
Plot[]
Mikazuki and old man Yukinojo stay behind on Sasai until the Teiwaz engineers are finished working on Gundam Barbatos. All the other members of Tekkadan return to their voyage to Earth. Everyone receives messages from back on Mars. Dexter notifies Orga that everything is going well, and Biscuit and Takaki receive videos from their families. Both of them dream of sending their siblings to school now that they will gain more earnings from being associated with Teiwaz. Kudelia's mother sends her a message hoping to convince her to return home, but Kudelia refuses to turn back.
Later, Naze meets with Orga and others to talk about their next move. He explains that they must follow the Turbines' lead around the Ariadne in order to avoid their route being discovered by Gjallarhorn. He also introduces the group to Merribit Stapleton, a representative from Teiwaz that will join Tekkadan as an order from McMurdo. Orga had met Merribit previously when he had gotten drunk, but can barely remember and is uncomfortable with her joining a group comprised of all boys.
Kudelia finds Atra in the kitchen, where they talk about their families. Atra is an orphan who was abused while working shop keeper when until she ran away and met Mikazuki. He saved Atra from starving and she eventually got hired by Hana's store, so she considers him her first real family member. Kudelia is upset that her parents are trying to stop her political crusade, but she is reassured by Atra that she is a member of Tekkadan's family.
Meanwhile, Akihiro trains using the simulator in Lafter's mobile suit. She tells Akihiro that his fighting style has gotten much less reckless and commends him for it. Afterwards he heads out on patrol and allows Takaki to join him. They talk about their families and Akihiro reveals that he used to have a brother named Masahiro before they were captured by pirates and sold off as human debris.
Takaki assures Akihiro that if he continues down his path he will see Masahiro again, but then they are suddenly attacked by three Man Rodi mobile suits. The triad quickly overwhelms Akihiro, but he is rescued by the timely arrival of Mikazuki in the Gundam Barbatos.
