The ASW-G-08-4X4 Gundam Barbataurus is a Gunpla that appears in the Gundam Breaker Battlogue ONA.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

A custom Gunpla derived from Gundam Barbaric. By connecting two Gundam frames, it has been transformed into a four-legged silhouette with a centaur motif. It is the embodiment of jinba ittai, the Japanese concept of the unity of the rider and their steed as one body.

Armaments

• Twin Blades

A pair of curved handheld blades for close combat, they also transform into handguns for ranged attacks. The twin blades can be combined together to create the limbs of a bow, with crackling red lightning forming the string between the two blades. The Barbataurus can fire arrows from the bow in this configuration. The twin blades can be mounted on the side armor when not in use.

• Dainsleif Arrows

Arrows made from Dainsleif bullets that are made to be shot by the Twin Blades in their bow configuration. Their destructive power can severely crater the ground of the battlefield upon impact. They are stored in a quiver on the Barbataurus' elongated waist section.

• Long Sword

A longer sword used for close combat, similar to the long sword used by the Gundam Barbatos. It can be stored on the side armor.

• Tail Blade

Mounted on the rear, it is similar in function to the tail blade from the Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex. This whip-like appendage ends in a three-bladed head.

Special Equipment & Features

• Alaya-Vijnana System

The safety limiter on the Alaya-Vijnana System can be broken, which substantially increases the abilities of the Gundam Barbataurus, increasing the suit's speed and melee attack power and making it more capable of shirking off enemy attacks. The Barbataurus's eyes also appear to emit wild red lightning when the limiter is off.

Notes & Trivia

• Its name is a portmanteau of the demon Barbatos and the constellation Centaurus.
• Gundam Barbataurus is first released for the Super Sokai Festival banner (as a Speed Attribute unit), and then a 3-star Power Attribute version for the "Breaker Battlogue 2" event's coin exchange shop.
  • In the "Breaker Battlogue 7" event held in December 1, one of Gundam Barbataurus' attack up ability can be alterated into an EX Skill.
• The final opponents in all full length, animated Build series have been Gundams and the Barbataurus is the first to be a Gundam Frame and a frankenstein of two gunpla. It is the very first Gundam Frame to physically appear in the Build series anime at all.
