The AMX-015-4S Dag Doll is a Newtype-use mobile suit built by Neo Zeon that appears in Mobile Suit Moon Gundam
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
Created by the remnants from the first Neo Zeon, the Dag Doll is a prototype MS made for Newtype-use. The MS is a direct descendant of the AMX-015 Geymalk and inherits the heavy firepower and funnel system, however its body shape greatly differs. The biggest feature is large disk-shaped backpack connected to the back, which is equipped with a generator and a mono-eye sensor. By connecting this backpack to the back of the head, it becomes "Machine Head Mode". For weapons, most are inherited from the Geymalk such as funnels and the mega particle cannon built in the abdomen, but the hand design was changed to the standard design to allow for the carry and use of hand held weapons.
Armaments[]
- Vulcan Gun
- A pair of vulcan guns are mounted on each side of the head, for a total of four.
- Beam Saber
- One beam saber is stored in each waist side armor as spare weapons.
- Abdomen Diffusion Mega Particle Cannon
- Shape and mounting similar to the MSN-04 Sazabi.
- Long Beam Rifle
- A variable long barreled beam rifle that fires high-powered shots in Beam Rifle Mode.
- Beam Blade
- The long beam rifle can extend into Beam Blade Mode for melee combat. The beam blade it generates can extend up to 58 meters.
- Shield
- A round shield attached to the left forearm for defense.
- Mega Particle Cannon
- Four mega particle cannons are built into the face round shield's rim, similar to what would later be seen in the Jagd Doga
- Funnel
- Four medium size funnels are stored in the under the large backpack. They can be used for sniping.
- Reflector Bit
- Like the name suggests, the reflector bits have no offensive power and instead are used for reflecting beam attacks. The Dag Doll carries up to thirty reflector bits in its backpack.
- Leader Bit
- Twenty small size funnel bits are stored in the backpack's 2 rear launch ports. They are a more advanced version of the Adzam Leader. Up to 20 units can be deployed at once to form the "Dag Leader", a electromagnetic field capable of disabling any mobile suit caught within it. Prolonged exposure can destroy a mobile suit's circuits.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- Psycommu System
- Developed during the One Year War by researchers of the Flanagan Institute, it is a mind-machine interface designed to receive and translate a Newtype's powerful thoughtwaves (similar to regular brainwaves, but not electrical in nature) into computer commands. Using this interface, a Newtype pilot can direct remote weapons, and operate huge mobile armors, by thought alone. The remnant forces at the asteroid base Axis succeed in miniaturizing the psycommu system, so that it can be installed in regular-sized mobile suits like the AMX-004 Qubeley. It is said that the Dag Doll's psycommu will not accept operation from anyone but Luce Krangel.
- Machine Head Mode
- By connecting the large backpack to the back of the head of the mobile suit, this activates "machine head mode", and the information transmission and processing computing power of the psycommu system is tripled. This eliminated the complexity of a psycommu system, which was a drawback of the Geymalk, and made it possible to handle the psycommu system without having high Newtype ability. However, the burden on the brain of the pilot in use is heavy, so it is not recommended to use for more than three minutes.
History[]
The Dag Doll was first seen outside Moon Moon in a meditating pose, having observed the battle between the Schlange Team, Londo Bell, and the AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam from outside Moon Moon. The sole surviving AMA-103 Medussa, piloted by Gatt, attempted to call it for support. However, Luce instead reprimanded him for his failure and the loss of all of his subordinates. Realizing his fate, Gatt immediately tried to flee in his heavily damaged Medussa but Luce destroyed the Medussa using the Dag Doll's Leader Bits.
Afterwards, the Dag Doll used its funnels to heavily damage the Ra Gills, which had just recovered the RGM-86RF GM III Powered carrying Mineva Lao Zabi and was about to leave the sector, causing the Londo Bell to deploy the Ra Zyme to search for the missing Ra Gills.
