The AMS-119S Geara Doga Kai (Lehr Doga) (AMS-119S ギラ・ドーガ改 (リア・ドーガ) Gira Dōga Kai (Ria Dōga)?) (commonly known as Lehr Doga) is a variant of AMS-119S Geara Doga Kai that first appeared in manga Mobile Suit Gundam F90.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A Modified Geara Doga Kai developed by SNRI in corporations with Buch Junk Inc. as aggressor unit for Earth Federation Forces' (EFF) Instructor Corps.[1][2] It was not manufactured by EFF itself due to to political reason and Anaheim Electronics' intellectual property, instead SNRI outsourced its development to Bunch Junk inc by copying the captured units and develop it as part of their own Mobile Suit development project. Thanks to that they are capable to "produce" their own Geara Doga type mobile suit, but was never officially adopted by the EFF and its model number not changed and commonly referred as Lehr Doga to avoid confusion with its predecessor.[1]
Due to Lehr Doga is based on Neo Zeon technology, it was modified with RGM-89 Jegan parts, primarily the leg units for parts compatibility and ease of maintenance.[1] The Lehr Doga also made to be highly modular, primarily the backpack, waist armor, and shoulder armor are highly modularized and can be swapped out with multiple units, regardless of whether they are for the Federation Forces (Titans) or Zeon mobile suit parts. This is to mimic the enemy units’ characteristics, like the AMX-011 Zaku III and AMX-014 Doven Wolf, as much as possible to facilitate training. In terms of generator output it was equipped with AMS-119 Geara Doga type reactor on early models, but since U.C.106 its generator had been upgraded with AMX-011S Zaku III Custom type. [1] Thanks to such modifications, it turns the Lehr Doga into a high performance aggressor mobile suit, while also heavily customized depending on its pilot preferences, such as the one used by Charles Rochester.[1]
Armaments[]
- Beam Sword-Axe
- A beam weapon for close combat. It has two built-in beam emitters, allowing it to generate a sword-like beam blade, a short pick-shaped blade with high penetrating power, and an axe-shaped blade with high cutting power, depending on the situation. The beam sword-axe is mounted on the rear skirt armor when not in use.
- Shield
- A shield as used by the RGM-89 Jegan has a pair of twin missile launchers. They fire small missiles that have composite sensors in their tips, allowing them to home in onto their target even under the interference of Minovsky particles in the battlefield. However, they have a short range and are basically for use in close combat as they only carry a small amount of propellant.
- Shield (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A modified shield used by AMX-107 Bawoo that serves as both defensive offensive equipment, with a set of 5 mega particle cannons powered by build-in generator.
- Hide Bombs
- Several bombs mounted on the modified Bawoo's shield.
- Hand Grenades
- Equipped with four grenades, two on each of the waist side skirts. When in use, the grenades are fired from cylindrical launch tubes.
- Beam Rifle
- A standard hand carried ranged beam weapon, the Gustav Karl used the same beam rifle as the RGM-89 Jegan. It has a short barrel for ease of handling, and is most effective in mid-close range combat due to its short firing range. Although its output is reduced, it has an excellent rate of fire, and can eliminate enemy accurately during melee combat when utilize in conjunction with the composite sensor at the top of the rifle.
- Beam Machine Gun (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A beam machine gun with a unique shape. The shape is similar to the MSN-03 Jagd Doga's beam assault rifle
- Beam Rifle (GM III's)
- A beam rifle model used by RGM-86R GM III. Its appearance and manufacturing cost are almost the same as the older version's, but its output is increased by about 50% to 2.8MW. However, its usability has not been improved, and issues about its endurance remains.
- Beam Launcher
- An optional handheld weapon of the Lehr Doga, this large caliber beam weapon was developed as a replacement for the projectile firing bazooka. Powered by a replaceable e-pac, the beam launcher fires low-velocity beams with high destructive power. Can be stored on the rear waist armor when not in use.
- Clay Bazooka
- An innovative projectile-firing weapon, the Clay Bazooka was originally designed to fire adhesive rounds which immobilize enemy machines rather than destroying them outright. However, it could also be loaded with other types of ammunition, including conventional explosive round as well as pellet shot round. The Clay Bazooka has 1 round in its chamber with 7 more rounds in a reloadable magazine. A retractable hook is present on top of the bazooka's barrel for mounting onto Rick Dias's backpack when not in use
- Beam Cannon (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A pair of beam cannons mounted in its backpack booster binders. Each cannon has a power rating of 4.2 MW. Charles' Rochester unit capable of used it as Giant Beam Saber.[3]
- 12-tube Missile Launcher (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A pair 12-tube missile launchers in its backpack booster binders.
- AMS-09R Anti-ship Missile (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A pair of AMS-09R Anti-ship missiles externally on its backpack optionally. They are larger than the missiles in the missile launcher.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- INCOM (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A remote weapon designed for use with the quasi-psycommu system. These disc-shaped devices are armed with internal beam guns and controlled via wire cables. Every time an INCOM changes its flight direction, it deploys a tiny relay INCOM to hold the wire in place and maintain its connection to the mobile suit. When the pilot recalls the INCOM, it retraces its course as the wire is retracted.
- Sub-Arm (Charles Rochester Custom)
- A pair of sub-arms mounted on the front skirt armor of the Lehr Doga used by Charles Rochester unit. Sub-Arms are small manipulators which are normally retracted, folded, or otherwise concealed, like those installed in the PMX-003 The-O. The Charles' Lehr Doga sub-arms carry a pair of beam sabers, providing an element of surprise and tactical advantage in combat.
History[]
In U.C 0115, a Lehr Doga was deployed alongside RGM-87C2 BR-GM during a terrorist attack on Side 2 Amelia by Zeon Remnants. This unit piloted by Li Shaomei and serve as reinforcement for the Fastest Formula Corps' ship the Space Ark-class Fairlady after it was damaged by Zeon Remnants' AMA-01X Jamru Finn.[4]
Later in U.C 116 some of the Instructor Corps was assigned to protect the siege of Trimurti Anti Asteroid Cannon byZeon Remnants "Legacy Fleet".[5] One of unit was piloted by Charles Rochester spearhead for Trimurti defense force.[5] During the battle a lot of Lehr Doga including Charles' unit manage to shotdown numerous amount of Legacy's mobile suits, but do to overwhelming number of enemy forces and the arrival of RF Gromlin destroyed most of them.[6] Fortunately the arrival of Fastest Formula (FF) manage to turn the tide of battle, while Charles' unit served escort unit for F90 Gundam F90 PV Type against RF Gromlin II.[7]
U.C 120 one Lehr Doga unit was assigned to Earth Federation Forces' Ra Cailum-class, Admiral Tianem, served as 13th Experimental Squadron's aggressor unit, and piloted by Sid Amber.[8] During the invasion of Oldsmobile Forces base on Mars, it serve as the escort for F90 Gundam F90 Unit 1 and RGM-89ST2 ST-Gun, but was ambushed by the Oldsmobile forces and lost the ST-Gun the the process.[9] Sometimes later the it escorted the F90 Gundam F90 A.D.S Type during the siege of Olympus Mons fortress, it was ambushed and destroyed by OMS-90R Gundam F90.[10]

Notes & Trivia[]
- The name of Lehr Doga derived from German word of Lehrer which means Instructor.
- in SD G Generation Spirits Sid Amber's Lehr Doga is possibly using an intermediate model between Jegan and Jegan Normal Type's shield.
- Lehr Doga never seen using its beam sword axe, except in SD Gundam G Generations Spirits.
- Initially Sid Amber's Doga was one of a kind unit and commonly known as Sid's Geara Doga, but it was retconned in Monthly Mobile Machine Edition Vol 11 as Lehr Doga. Aside from Sid Amber this MS was also used by some of notable Mars Zeon Characters such as Charles Rochester and Bosch Weller.
- Even though RGM-89J Jegan Normal Type was the basic Jegan variant in UC 110s, Lehr Doga still used U.C. 0093 version of the RGM-89 Jegan backpack along with the shield and beam rifle.
