The AMO-01 Ziggurat is a support craft introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A large support craft developed by the Kingdom of Foundation to bolster the firepower of the NOG-M2D1/E Cal-re.A, this unmanned craft is remotely controlled by the Cal-re.A's rear gunner and uses its formidable loadout of missiles and beam weapons to attack enemies from afar.
Armaments[]
- High-Energy Beam Cannon
- The Ziggurat is equipped with a large beam cannon at its front for long-range attacks. The trajectory of its beam can be adjusted mid-flight using Geschmeidig Panzer technology, allowing the beam to curve over obstacles. This capability allows the Ziggurat to fire the weapon from behind cover.
- Quadruple Missile Launchers
- The Ziggurat's primary armament consists of a large number of long-range missile launchers, capable of overwhelming an enemy through sheer numbers.
Special Equipment & Features[]
History[]
Three Ziggurat units were deployed in C.E.75 to support the NOG-M2D1/E Cal-re.A in its mission to destroy the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II. Control of the units was given to Ingrid Tradoll. The Ziggurats were positioned behind the wreckage of the space fortress Messiah, where they could provide fire support against the Strike Freedom without risk of retaliation. However, the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam used its Disruptor cannon to slice through the Messiah, destroying all three Ziggurats in the process.[1]
