The AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Glansa is the upgraded form of the AGE-1F Gundam AGE-1 Flat. It was introduced in the Three Generation Arc of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE and is piloted by Flit Asuno.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
After the Gundam AGE-1 Flat was severely damaged and the completion of AGE-FX Gundam AGE-FX, it was upgraded to keep its performance on par with current mobile suits. Its upgrades consisted of additional armor and new weaponry in the form of a pair of forearm-mounted Shield Rifles as well as six Missile Launchers in the added armor pieces. With enhanced defensive and offensive capabilities, this new form is known as Gundam AGE-1 Glansa. The AGE-1 Glansa was later equipped with the new Glastron Launcher, a back-mounted high mobility unit armed with a pair of beam launchers, and become known as the Gundam AGE-1 Full Glansa. When needed, both the additional armor and the Glastron Launchers could be purged.
Armaments[]
- Beam Saber/Dagger
- Like the original AGE-1 Flat, the AGE-1 Glansa/AGE-1 Full Glansa has a pair of beam sabers stored in its side skirt armor. The beam sabers can adjust the length of their beam blades to suit different combat situations.
- Shield Rifle
- Mounted on the AGE-1 Glansa/AGE-1 Full Glansa's forearms, it combines the function of a shield and a DODS Rifle into a single weapon. It has a beam emitter in between the two pointed ends, and this emitter can fire beam shots for ranged combat or emit a large beam saber for close combat.
- Missile Launcher
- The AGE-1 Glansa/AGE-1 Full Glansa is armed with a total of six missile launchers, with two on each added shoulder armor and one on the front of each added leg armor.
- Glastron Launcher
- An optional armament pack mounted on the back, it is developed from the Zefuld Launcher which was previously used by the Gundam AGE-1 Flat. The Glastron Launcher consisted of a high mobility unit and a pair of beam launchers that are similar to the AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal's SigMaxiss Rifle. With the Glastron Launcher equipped, the Gundam AGE-1 Glansa is referred to as Gundam AGE-1 Full Glansa.
- DODS Hammer
- An optional melee weapon only available in the PSP game, it is a hammer that uses spiral force in order to deal heavy damage.
History[]
Following its battle against Zeheart Galette's Xvt-zgc Ghirarga and Zanald Beihart's Xvm-zbc Xamdrag, the badly damaged AGE-1F Gundam AGE-1 Flat was upgraded into the AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Glansa to keep up with the more modern mobile suits. The AGE-1 Glansa first saw action at Luna Base, where it assisted Kio Asuno's AGE-FX Gundam AGE-FX and Asemu Asuno's AGE-2DH Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound against Fram Nara's Xvb-fnc Fawn Farsia, Zeheart's Ghirarga, and Girard Spriggan's XMS-005 Thieleva. The AGE-1 Glansa fought evenly against the enemy units, but Girard lost control of her X-Rounder abilities and briefly stunned the Gundam before attacking it with the AGE-FX's C-Funnels. Ultimately, the AGE-1 Glansa defeated the Thieleva by shooting through its chest from above. Following this, Flit attempted to chase after the retreating Vagan forces using the AGE-1 Glansa, but was stopped by Kio, who pleaded for his grandfather to let the battle end.
During the final assault on La Gramis, the AGE-1 Glansa was equipped with the Glastron Launcher, becoming the Gundam AGE-1 Full Glansa. It fought at the front as the Federation troops began making their way to the fortress, but fell into a trap as the fleet was struck by La Gramis' Digmazenon Cannon. Realizing that the cannon was charging up faster than expected due to its link with the Vagan colony of Second Moon, Flit ordered all troops to abandon their ships so as to escape the line of fire. Flit and Kio also escaped La Gramis' second attack thanks to the Dark Hound's Hyper Boost. Near the end of the battle, the three Gundams were confronted by Zera Gins' Xvg-xxx Vagan Gear. After a brief clash, the Vagan Gear was overtaken and merged with the sentient mobile suit Sid before rampaging across the battlefield, regardless of friend or foe. Although confused, Flit nonetheless saw an opportunity to finish the Vagans and reverted his Gundam to AGE-1 Flat, and then equipped it with the Plasma Diver Missile to destroy both Second Moon and La Gramis.

Trivia[]
- There is some storyline differences in Episode 49 of the anime and the final chapter of the story featured in the PSP video game: In the anime, the AGE-1 Full Glansa purges all its armor and Glastron Launcher before returning to its mothership to relaunch itself as AGE-1 Flat equipped with the Plasma Diver Missile to strike at Second Moon. However, he was stopped by Kio and his Gundam AGE-FX, and had a change of heart. Later, as Flit makes a declaration to ask all troops to work together to destroy La Gramis to save Second Moon, he fires the Plasma Diver Missile into an empty space to get everyone's attention. In the PSP storyline however, Flit attacked Second Moon using the AGE-1 Full Glansa's missiles and Glastron Launcher, but the attacks were blocked by Kio's AGE-FX. In addition, the part of the storyline where Flit asks for everyone's help in saving Second Moon involves AGE-1 Full Glansa firing its Shield Rifle in the air instead of the Plasma Diver Missile.
